Here is a list of some Interactive Multimedia gadgets for your TV or Home Theatre. I know some of these gadgets listed below are a bit old but they can be upgraded to do modern stuff by way of DIY (Do-It-Yourself) and optional purchases and modifications of DIY modules and circuit boards or components/parts. The Interactive Players, Videonizers and PCTVs mention above can be given a new lease of life by way of writing new homebrew software or porting software/titles and games from other platforms using their respective SDKs (Software Development Kits). Even commercial freeware for those platforms can be written this way. Some originally natively can support apps/programs/software from other platforms like Microsoft MSX which support not only MSX-DOS but GUI DOS programs (Graphical User Interface) which were meant for MS-DOS, PC-DOS, IBM-DOS, DR-DOS or FreeDOS. Data can not only be stored in diskette or cassettes but can also be stored on memory card or thumb drive like those MSX external U-Disk storage cartridges. Memory can even be upgraded using additional cartridges and they also double up as external U-Disk storage.

Some can be supported by obtaining additional commercial or freeware programs/apps/software such as office software like wordprocessor, database program, spreadsheet, To Do List, Shopping List, Schedule, Timetable, Planner software, educational/edutainment programs etc. like the Subor Keyboard NES, Mgt, Terminator T2000 Videonizer. They also have BBG DOS, BBG Windows 95/98, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium, Windows XP which is a rip off or bootleg of the real Microsoft product for the latter 3 products. They even have experimental modems/NICs and one of them is WiFi enabled. Data can even be stored on memory card or thumb drive like the Everdrive.

Whereas for 3D Interactive Players, games and titles can be ported from Sony Playstation 1/2/3, Microsoft XBox, XBox One Live, PC, Nintendo 64, Atari Jaguar etc. An even better solution would be to write emulators for the 3D Interactive Players mention above to playback and emulate games, titles and software from other platforms. Preferably the emulators written are freeware or available through some GNU public license. Even software media players to play various Multimedia A/V discs and file formats can be written for them.

Hi, this brand is called A&S and their 42" - 65' 4K UHD LED TV seems to be quite good with a lot of good reviews. Some are even Smart TVs. Seen a lot on Lazada, can even visit their official website. It's based on LG Electronics technology (Korean) but only costs less than half of a LG TV. If you've seen the brightness, sharpness, clarity and contrast of LG 4K UHD LED TVs and OLED TVs, you know what I'm talking about. You can even buy a 50"/55" A&S 4K UHD LED TV for RM1099. It comes with 2/3 year manufacturer warranty. The best of all its locally made and a local brand, NOT something made in China. A&S manufactures Bluetooth speakers and sound bars too.

Another product that's locally made and is a local brand is BOE. BOE or Blue Ocean Electronics manufactures Blue Ray Players and their players are 3D, 4K, Cinavision free, Networked, Multiregion, Multiformat, Multidisc, plays many different audio video files, has USB host, BD Live, BD Java and a tonne of other functions. Can be seen selling at lelong.my or Lazada. My relative bought one and its quite good, better than most Blue Ray Players. Comes with local supplier or manufacturer warranty.

Hi new commercial project called Asia Poly Buissness Park coming up in Semenyih, just in front of Vista Valley@Semenyih and Kiara Plaza. Just next to Kiara Buissness Centre, Green Park Village@Semenyih (future tallest residential, buisness, office space, commercial and probably hotel skyscrapers in the South of Klang Valley with shopping mall in a park) and Volkswagen Semenyih showroom.

Seems like a new booming commercial area in Semenyih are coming up within these projects. Already Vista Valley@Semenyih which is in front of it has shop lots mostly occupied, and the Vista Valley Mall got anchor tenant which is a department store/hypermarket/supermarket. Kiara Buisness Centre front row all occupied and some lots occupied here and there within Kiara Buisness Centre. Greene Park Village land clearing and earthworks being done. Volkswagen showroom been there for a long time. In front of it is Kiara Plaza and big Shell petrol station. Nearby is also a big Petronas station.

Any news about the progress of this project? Any info about the property?

MyTV

MyTV is Malaysia's second Digital Terrestrial TV service and is a competitor to Astro's NJOI. MyTV broadcasts in DVB-T2 (terrestrial) format while Astro NJOI broadcasts in DVB-S (sattelite) format. Another similiar service is RTM's digital TV and radio channels. All are free TV without monthly payment or subscription. The only exception is you have to buy the decoder for these services and this is a one time payment that can cost anywhere between RM100-RM500.

With Astro NJOI you need to purchase the decoder and sattelite dish for RM 3** while for MyTV a decoder can cost anywhere between RM70-RM500 including the UHF antannae. I have seen and heard of some people buying DTT or DVB-T2 decoders for even RM50. Most people buy those below RM300. MyTV is also giving away 2 million decoders free of charge for premises chosen as test households for their transmission.

MyTV is already doing test transmissions and trials throughout the whole Malaysia and they will be launching their service soon. Currently they are offering 30 TV channels and that number is expected to grow to 50 and then 80 TV channels. There are some radio channels and they will also be carrying some Interactive TV and IPTV features or functions as well.

My question is:

What are the 30 free TV channels they are currently offering?

I hope they have a lot of English, Chinese and Indian channels. If not, a lot of English, Chinese and Indian content as well would be good as this will attract other races into watching free TV as well as generate a lot of profit for MyTV.

This area in Semenyih will be a very lively area after 2018 with The Kiara Plaza coming up. Now its OK but in the future who knows. A supermarket starting with "C" is going to come in and probably another one making that two.

With Kiara Buisness Centre and a car 3S/4S (sales and service) centre for rent nearby, buisnesses will also open up there. Already shoplots in Kiara Buisness Centre facing the Jalan Semenyih - opposite Shell petrol station are occupied (Pizza Hut, a mamak, clinics & DF pharmacy to name some of them). Still there are many vacant inside.

Kajang East itself will have shop offices and a supermarket as well as houses and an apartment. With more apartments there will be more residents, with more residents there will be more customers. Shoplots in Kajang East will also be making money.

Furthermore with its close proximity to LEKAS and SILK highway as well as Jalan Cheras is an advantage in terms if transportation.

this low yatt plaza workers at the booths, shops, stores and it marts are always talking, joking, poking fun, trying to be funny, laughing, laughing at people, chuckling, giggling, making noise, being a nuisance and dont know what else they are up to. low yatt plaza is more like a zoo or a mental hospital in tanjung rambutan. they dont seem to be interested in behaving normally or acting professionally at all times. they dont realise this but by doing so you are actually chasing away your customers which will affect your salary and commission.

you see, this low yatt plaza is like hospital bahagia in tanjung rambutan and the inmates are the very sales staff itself. it makes me wonder wether they really do have some mental problem because they simply just cannot behave normally. if i was their boss, supervisor or manager i would fire them immediately because staff like them only bring a bad name, image and reputation to the company they are working with. i have even heard some people complain that low yatt plaza sales staff are weird. what will the tourist be thinking if they cant behave themselves?

low yatt plaza is the center of it and telecommunications products for the whole klang valley, its time their sales people buck up and dont tarnish low yatt plaza's image and chase away all their customers. Otherwise low yatt plaza will lose its buisness and sales and become a ghost shopping complex and be force to close down and the sales staff will become unemployed and lose their jobs.

low yatt plaza was never like this before. i have been visiting that place since 1999 when it first open and it was different. it was more normal back then. but now it has changed. all this stupid ass**** mental sales staff started working there after 2010 and from there onwards it became similiar to a hospital for the psychologically insane. all this younger generation dont know how to treat people with respect and they deserve to get a thousand strokes of the rotan. they should be screened for having pshychological problems, taught and trained on social ethics, social ethiqutte, professional ethics and normal behaviour before they are employed to work there. because all this anti-social behaviour displayed by the sales staff of various companies there will only lead to the downfall of low yatt plaza.

When will Gallery City be built?

When will this Gallery City project in Bandar Tasik Kesuma, Semenyih be built? They had already partially cleared the land but havent' fully cleared the land. The road just outside Gallery City passing Setia Eco Majestic to LEKAS is 99% finish. So when is Gallery City going to be built?
