New specs <need some advice>

My friend is trying to get new hardware for this coming December. Is PC-fair coming soon in this coming December?
Well, the parts he wants to get are as follows:

Proc : Intel Core i5 RM700
Mobo : Asus P7P55D RM535
RAM : Corsair XMS3 1600C9D D3 9-9-9-24 2x2GB RM409
GPU : Sapphire HD4890 GDDR5 1GB Vapor-X RM720 / Asus HD4890 GDDR5 1GB RM760
PSU : Silverstone Strider 560W RM309

There are few questions listed below:
1) Anyway which GPU is better for this spec?
2) What's the cheapest price for this spec stated above?
3) Any authorised Ipoh dealer around?

Budget is around RM2.7k

hello there,

I am planning to change some parts of my comp.

My current rig is:

Processor : AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200+ @ 2.6ghz
CPU cooler : Thermalright ultima90i
Mobo : Asus M2N-E
Memory : Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz 2GB Kit [2x 1gb]
HDD: Western Digital 320GB
GPU : Asus 8600GT (normal version)
PSU : Cooler Master eXtreme power 500w (RP-500-PCAR)
Display : 19" Samsung SyncMaster 931BW (widescreen)

My budget is around RM2k. The following parts i would like to change are GPU,PSU,Processor,Motherboard etc. I might change my monitor in future but not now and so i am getting a better GPU now. Please kindly advise me and thanks in advance.

how much will it be if im getting i5 with new mobo + gtx260 + psu?
Will there be a big difference between the 4 parts above and AMD 945 and Saphire 5850 as in gaming?
In your opinion, which should i go for?

Hello guys,

I'm looking for an avatar showing the words "Signum Vires" with a black background and with the words in glow mode. Just the words and some glow effects without any pictures behind. 184px size
i find quite alot of avatars but the word styles are not attractive enough.

should we open a thread regards all L2 questions posting in 1 post? so that i can save up the time creating another thread.

well, i've a question
i've made a BW robe set and i get 1 piece foundation BW helmet, 1 piece foundation BW glove and else normal tunic,stockings and boots.
i got no set effect after wearing it, which means i have to wear whole full set normal BW to get set effect?
so what's the point of making foundations? as i know foundations give minor effects like + mp +regen..but still unable to get set effect like WIT +3.

i would like to update my spec. Currently im playing FPS(first person shooting) games. Preferably changing my graphic card because im facing lagging on playing FPS game or any else hardware which can enhance my spec,kindly guide me on this.
My budget is around RM500-RM700.
i would like to know whether my comp spec can overlock or not due to the cheap PSU.
therefore, i wanna know that changing powerful GPU whether it can compatible wif my spec esp the PSU. thanks in advance.

She is currently looking for a job in any accounting firm in IPOH.

hey guys, i'm clearing my DNS cache but it comes out the box showing the message below:

"Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed.
Clearing the DNS cache.
For assistance,contact the person who manages your network."

when i do the clearing by using CMD
it shows " could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution."

and a weird case that happens to me which is sometimes i login to mmorpg, it having huge lag.i have to restart my modem and restart my comp in order to clear the lag. After restarting both comp and modem, i'm having pretty smooth connection in the game. I wonder why?

Please guide me with this thank you!

Key stacking issues

Hello fellow lowyat forumers.
There's a question i want to ask which is the little and also the critical issue of Microsoft Reclusa.
I'm having key stacking issue with this keyboard. By means, when i click TAB and W together,it automatically activate the key Q. I'm sure i didn't press on Q button nor i didn't change any settings of the buttons.
Not only that, pressing W and R together will automatically activate the key E. It's pretty inconvenient for me as i'm a gamer.

So, i wanna ask about any user of Microsoft Reclusa encounter such problems too or just me?
Please kindly guide me to solve this problem.
