Need Help on iPod

I have an iPod touch 4th Gen which I didn't use for quite sometime. Now I wanted to clear everything and update to the latest OS but I am having several issue as below:

1. The iPod is not detected by my PC. Tried with different PC and cables and ports (ori and non-ori). When plugged into the USB, no reaction whatsoever. But when plugged into power adapter, it is able to charge.
2. The iPod doesn't actually charge. The moment I unplug the cable, it will immediately turn off.
3. I am trying to reset the device and erase content from the device itself. But when I do that when it tries to reboot itself, it just stays in the loading screen forever.. at least 4-5 hours. Like pic below:

I am wondering if this is really a hardware issue or some issue with the OS, since I am not able to reset my phone, and also it's not detectable by computer. Any suggestions you can provide would be helpful.

A doctor in NYC knew that some people need medical attention and took the steps necessary to make sure he could provide for those in need. He posted this online: "I'm open today if I can help anyone. Until 6 pm. Spread the word. Thanks. 189 east 2nd street btw A and B"

A restaurant in Manhattan was kind enough to deliver ice to other restaurants, bars and shops so that businesses could stay afloat while the power was out.

When most of the people in this NYC neighborhood lost power, a kind family helped out their neighbors! They still had power, so they ran power strips out to the sidewalk using extension cords. That way, everyone in the area could have a fully charged phone in case of emergencies.

For those who were without a way to get hot food, this free soup (and salad) kitchen was set up.

Twitter followers were keeping an eye on who had power and who didn't. Those with restored power graciously let people visit their homes and spend some time in the warmth.

On one street corner, people were encouraged to share their feelings about the hurricane, the power outages and any other issues they were having. Comforting strangers may feel strange, but it makes everyone feel better!

The Mongolian Death Worm, known to Mongolia’s nomadic tribesmen as the allghoi khorkhoi (sometimes given as allerghoi horhai or olgoj chorchoj) or ‘intestine worm’ for its resemblance to a sort of living cow’s intestine. It is said to be red in colour, and is sometimes described as having darker spots or blotches, and sometimes said to bear spiked projections at both ends. They are said to be thick bodied and between 2 and 5 feet long.
The Mongolian Death Worm is said to inhabit the Southern Gobi Desert in Mongolia. The first reference in English to this remarkable beast appears in Professor Roy Chapman Andrews’ 1926 book On the Trail of Ancient Man, although the American palæontologist (apparently the inspiration for the Indiana Jones character) was not entirely convinced by the tales of the monster he heard at a gathering of Mongolian officials: “None of those present ever had seen the creature, but they all firmly believed in its existence and described it minutely.”

"Sausage-like worm over half a metre (20 inches) long, and thick as a man’s arm, resembling the intestine of cattle. Its tail is short, as [if] it were cut off, but not tapered. It is difficult to tell its head from its tail because it has no visible eyes, nostrils or mouth. Its colour is dark red, like blood or salami… It moves in odd ways – either it rolls around or squirms sideways, sweeping its way about. It lives in desolate sand dunes and in the hot valleys of the Gobi desert with saxaul plants underground. The creature is reported to be able to spray an acid like substance that causes death instantly. It is also claimed that this creature has the ability to kill from a distance with some sort of super charged electrical charge. Numerous Mongolians have reported seeing this creature including a Mongolian Premier. The creature is reported to hibernate during most of the year except for June and July when it becomes active.

It is believed that touching any part of the worm will bring instant death, and its venom supposedly corrodes metal. Local folklore also tells of a predilection for the color yellow and local parasitic plants such as the Goyo. It is also believed that the worm likes to get out on the ground generally after the rain, when the ground is still wet.

Recover corrupted partition

I have a notebook HDD which has 2 partitions. After I dropped it on the floor I noticed it started running very slow. When I run chkdsk, there are a lot of errors, I am still able to boot from the OS partition, but when trying to access the 2ndary partition it says "Drive is not formatted, would you like to format it now?".

I tried running chkdsk /f as an attempt to fix the errors, but still not able to read. I have very important data inside.

Any ideas how I can recover the partition or at least recover some readable data from the HDD? Any software or ways I can recover at least some data would help greatly.

Hi, I'm planning to get a new PC within this or next month, with a budget of RM2500 for only the CPU. I already have some parts in mind, but I want more recommendations before I make the purchase.

This is primarily going to be for:
1) Gaming
2) Movie
3) Music
4) Internet, Photoshop etc.

I'm looking at AMD + ATI 4850, but not sure if I should get a X2 or Phenom. How much of a difference if I get a higher clocking X2 compared to a lower Quad Core? If I get an X2 now, does it impact me for future upgrades?

I don't need a super hard core machine, just something that allows me to play new games decently.

I just bought my r501 a few days ago, and then when i played a game, i noticed that when the sound is coming from the rear speakers, the bass will be very weak, especially when the volume is low, the bass can hardly be heard.

Then i tried playing some music, and when i convert the stereo to rear speakers, the bass will weaken.. movies seems to be ok. How can i solve this?

Im using audigy 2
