im planing to get a laptop for my dad,

uses:web surfing only
budget: 1k
specs:at least 14 inch screen

any recommendations as im out of the laptop game for quite some time and lost track of price and brands
or
do u guys recommend getting an ipad mini? as the 2 are kinda close when it comes to price.

my concern with the ipad mini is that the screen is too small.

im using a hyper 212 by cooler master and i think i assembled it wrong and the 2 fans are blowing up,but i seen most of pc builders assemble it so its blowing thru the back exhaust of the casing,which way is better and why?

Im currently using a CM hyper212 and results are ok but abit unsatisfying, then i saw this H100 from crosair but some say the results do not have much difference, but for your opinion should i just change it?

recently i keep noticing my cpu running at 70-100% spd but i wasent using so much,then i notice this thing running in the background Javax then i close it,cpu spd returns to normal,any idea on what i does or how to delete it?

So far i only managed to change its permission but time to time it still pops out.

If highly recommended i can switch to intel haswell but still prefer amd..

im using a hp netbook with only 1gb ram due to the fact that windows starter only utilize 1gb ram,but im also using a dual boot system (windows & linux mint cinnamon) and found out when booting linux,its abit laggy so im wondering if i upgrade my ram to 2gb will linux utilize all 2gb or will it be the same?
