I originally saw First Basic 38 here in low yat news, but apparently that's no longer available (in Celcom website anyway). Then I saw XPAX offer something similar for RM38. Is this the best offer right now?

PC Fair is coming, worth going?

Since I'm planning to buy a laptop soon, wondering whether or not PC Fair is worth going, or should I just browse around Low Yat instead during that weekend.

I expect with CNY just past and PC Fair that weekend there'll be some good promotions, but want to know what you guys prefer to do.

Does the Brand matters when choosing a laptop?

Looking for a budget RM2k ~ 2.5k laptop, but not even sure which brand to look for. I personally used Lenovo and Asus, but not sure how they perform now or whether there's better company out there.

Long story short, should I focus on a specific company, then look at their spec, or just look for the best spec within my price range?

I've went through the Low Yat stores earlier this year (before CNY) and all the stores I asked doesn't seem to have it. Is it still possible to find them in the market, or should I turn to online stores to find them?

Want to replace my old laptop harddisk, and noticed it's a 1.8" type, not the 2.5" I normally see. Not sure if you can buy this in lowyat shops, so asking here 1st.

Mainly to replace my 6-years-old graphic card, a GIGABYTE 7600GS.

Seems like I have a choice between ASUS GT430 or GIGABYTE GT440 around my price range, among others. Would like to know if there's a better choice out there.

My main use is to play League of Legends, and on occasion Dragon Age: Origins on my 19-inch monitor.

My wifi router's power adapter died...

Somehow, my D-Link DSL-G604T AC power adapter failed to work. Checked with the shop I bought it from, and discovered the power adapter is not covered by the warranty. And, they don't sell the power adapter separately.

So, was wondering if anyone knows where to buy these power adapters.
The shop assistant told me to try looking for it somewhere at Jalan Pudu, though she was unable to give me a specific location.
