Budget camera?

Anyone knows a digital camera that can take decent photographs (scenery, lighting etc) for a budget price? I'm not an expert, just a tourist who wants to keep some memoirs. <RM200 preferable.

Official certification of photostated documents

Some of the universities overseas (NZ & Aus) that I'm applying to for postgrad require official certification of photostated documents by Solicitor/Commissioner of Oath/Justice of Peace. Of the 3, I guess Justice of Peace is the cheapest right? I need like 50+ pages signed cos I'll be applying to many universities... and when I enquired with a Solicitor in PJ he said RM4 per signature!!!

Anyone know where I can get cheap certification done in the PJ/KL/Subang area? If possible I'd like to get all of the documents done for <RM50, and within this week.

Also I need to provide translated copies of some of the certs... is it ok if I scan and edit the translations in myself and get a JP to sign it?

Preferably with hairstylists who are willing to be friendly and give advice (and can speak English )? Just a haircut will do, I don't plan on doing rebonding/perm or anything else.

Also, is it worth it to pay the extra RM20/30 for senior stylists compared to junior stylists?

If you straighten your hair, do you still need to blow dry it every morning to keep it straight? Or use conditioner enough?

Also, you can choose how MUCH you want to straighten it by, right? Too much and it's not good for the hair... but if too little will it still be bushy/frizzy? What's the optimum amount?

Monitor problem

Okay, my monitor has a really weird problem. Once, I accidentally flipped the power switch when my comp was running and my monitor was turned off. The next day, when I tried to turn on my com, the LED on my monitor starts flashing on and off. Like, you know, the sounds that your monitor makes when you turn it on or off? I keep having these sounds too. However, it usually works after restarting it over and over. I tried all sorts of stuff like removing my vid card and using windows' integrated one and changing the cables leading to the monitor, but it's still the same.

A clearer explanation:
Day 1: I change cables, take out gfx card so that my monitor will run on the onboard gfx card. Then I restart the power a few times before it finally works. Later, I turn it off for the night.

Day 2: Even with the changed cables and removed gfx card, SAME PROBLEM. Restart several times only work.

What's the problem?!

I've been using the traditional shaving method for over a year now, BUT it is still itchy, especially the day after! It's not really noticeable lah since I've gotten used to it, but I'm still wondering if there are any better ways to do it.

Also, to those still using razor blades, which direction do you shave in? I just realized that shaving from top to bottom (from ur arm down to ur body) actually means that you are shaving against the grain. Or am I the only one with hair growing upwards instead of downwards?

Bandwidth control with D-Link DI 524

Okay, I know this should be in home networking but for some reason it doesn't let me start a new topic there. How do I control the bandwidth for my housemates thru a wireless router when their DLs are driving me nuts? The router is D-Link DI 524, and it doesn't appear to have any bandwidth control functions. I'm using the only wired connection from the router. Is there any way I can solve this problem? Any software etc.

I don't think upgrading the firmware will provide bandwidth control since the firmware descriptions have no mention of that? I also don't know which version of the updated firmware to get, as there is A-E. Has anyone tried?

I did find this though:

Since I am the only user on wired, perhaps tweaking the wireless settings will work. But which one, and tweak how?

The help file says this but I don't really understand:

Beacon Interval :Beacons are packets sent by an Access Point to synchronize a wireless network. Specify a Beacon interval value between 1 and 65535. The default value is set to 100 milliseconds.

RTS Threshold :This value should remain at its default setting of 2432. If you encounter inconsistent data flow, only minor modifications to the value range between 256 and 2432 are recommended. The default value for RTS Threshold is set to 2432.

Fragmentation :This value should remain at its default setting of 2346. If you experience a high packet error rate, you mayslightly increase your "Fragmentation" value within the value range of 256 to 2346. Setting the Fragmentation value too low may result in poor performance.

DTIM interval (beacon rate) :Enter a value between 1 and 255 for the Delivery Traffic Indication Message (DTIM). A DTIM is a countdown informing clients of the next window for listening to broadcast and multicast messages. When the Access Point has buffered broadcast or multicast messages for associated clients, it sends the next DTIM with a DTIM Interval value. AP clients hear the beacons and awaken to receive the broadcast and multicast messages. The default value for DTIM interval is set to 3.

Transmission (TX) Rates :Select the basic transfer rates based on the speed of wireless adapters on the WLAN (wireless local area network).
Preamble Type :The Preamble Type defines the length of the CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) block for communication between the Access Point and roaming wireless adapters. Make sure to select the appropriate preamble type and click the Apply button.
NoteHigh network traffic areas should use the shorter preamble type. CRC is a common technique for detecting data transmission errors.

Authentication Type :For added security on the wireless network, when enabling Encryption, the Authentication type can also be selected. If Shared Key is selected, the Access Point will not be seen on the wireless network except to the wireless clients that share the same WEP key with MAC Addresses allowed access as specified in Filter List. If Open System is chosen, only the wireless clients with the same WEP key will be able to communicate on the wireless network, but the Access Point will be visible to all devices on the network. The default value for Authentication is set to "Auto".

It wasn't like this few months ago. How do I find out which part is the prob? The modem? Network card? My cable? Is there any way to tell? I suspect it's the modem cuz it's like damn old and it functions both as modem and router... but I dowan buy new modem just to try and I have noone who has extra to let me test.
