Item(s) conditions: Speakers are fine and working perfectly, only problem is broken control pod. There's a problem with the connection of the wires to the control pod, causing the speakers to be not able to turn on. I know this because the power turned on and off while I was twisting the wires at the area connecting it to the control pod. Resoldering the wires should solve the problem.

Another issue is the volume knob. Turning the volume knob up and down will cause the speakers to crackle and the audio to cut in and out. If you adjust the volume knob and the sound cuts out, you'll need to adjust the knob slightly again for the sound to cut back in. It's just like tuning in to a radio station where you need to find the sweet spot. The right speaker is completely not working due to this issue as I am unable to find the sweet spot for it anymore, whereas before I was able to. The volume knob is basically a potentiometer, and Google tells me that this issue is probably due to a faulty potentiometer so replacing it with a new potentiometer should fix the problem.

Or alternately you can replace the whole control pod with another control pod (I don't know if possible, but I assume so). This will have to involve soldering or connecting wires though, as the control pod is connected permanently to the subwoofer and audio jack and is non-detachable.

Reason for sale: Giving it away for free to whoever wants it because I'm planning to throw it away anyways (or recycle it if I can find somewhere that will take it).

It seems a pity to throw it away when the speakers are working perfectly fine with the exception of the control pod, which should be fixable, but I don't have the skills and can't be bothered with the effort of fixing it, so I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone wants it.

Fake Adidas Jacket/Track top?

Hello all,

I bought an Adidas Originals Liverpool Track Top on Ebay. Seller is from UK with a lot of positive ratings. Product just arrived and I have a feeling it might be fake. Can anyone confirm?

I'm also thinking of e-mailing Adidas Malaysia or to visit an Adidas shop to verify whether it's genuine or fake. Can be done right?

The thing that makes me suspicious the most are the three stripes on the sleeves. As far as I know, the sleeve stripes on genuine Adidas shirts are three individual pieces of material that are sewn onto the clothing and they actually rise up a little. The stripes on the jacket in question is actually one flat piece of material with red and white stripes and the whole thing is sewn onto the sleeves. You can see the difference in the photo below. Blue is an original jacket while red is the jacket in question.

Collar label. The one on left is an authentic label, right is the jacket in question. Note the wordings. The authentic one (left) seems clearer while the right one seems to be poorly done.

Also, I'm not sure how significant this is, but note that when the label is flipped up, the words on the jacket label (right) is upside down compared to the authentic one (left).

Original Ray-Ban

hello, was wondering if anyone knows which shops in penang are selling original ray-ban? i'm looking to get a pair of optical ray-ban.

normally i would assume that those more reputable shops in shopping malls would be selling originals but i've heard rumours saying that some of them are selling fakes as well, focus point being one of them.

how about optical 88? they're listed as one of the official resellers in the ray-ban singapore website.

Bitdefender or Kaspersky

Hi all,

I'm using a really old version of Kaspersky Antivirus at the moment (Kaspersky 7.0). I was planning to get Kaspersky Internet Suite 2013 but after looking at reviews online, I saw that Bitdefender was getting really good reviews from a lot of websites. However, the majority of user reviews for it was bad. Most of it was about how their computer slowed down to the point they can't even watch Youtube videos.

Just wanted to ask if anyone here uses Bitdefender and how do they find it? Same with Kaspersky.
