[WTH] Article Re-writing in English

Role: Freelance English Writer to rewrite articles, very minimal online research.

Remuneration: RM15 per article

Requirements: - You must be able to write in grammatically PERFECT English. This is a must!
- All work must pass Copyscape (I will tell you how to check and for free)
- You must hand in 2 - 4 articles every week
- Accept that payments are made at the end of the week after articles are written

I have a re-writing job for an interior decoration company. The client will use your articles as guest posts in blogs which will link to their own website. This job requires you to google an article and re-write it so that it passes Copyscape. If you are not familiar with what Copyscape is, head over to www.copyscape.com to have a look. The article you write will have to be:
- 650 words and above
- In grammatically perfect English. It doesn't need to be of top quality but it has to be grammatically correct and easy to understand. You can use Grammarly to check for mistakes.
- At current, the job is to write about wainscoting but this could change in the future to any other interior decoration like tray ceilings, LED pot lights etc.

How to write the article:
1. Google for an article online that is about either wainscoting or wall decorations.
2. You must write at least 6 paragraphs - An introduction, 4 different body paragraphs in which at least 1 of it is about wainscoting, and an ending.
3. You must include at least one of the keywords from this list and at least one in each category per week:
- Main keywords: raised panel wainscoting, flat panel wainscoting, shaker wainscoting, beadboard wainscoting, wall panel wainscoting
- Secondary keywords: modern wainscoting, classic wainscoting, wainscoting decorations
4. Use Grammarly (free version) to check for grammar mistakes. We require the articles to be in US English so Grammarly is perfect for that.
5. Try to make your writing style as different as possible between the articles. For example, if you are writing 2 articles this week, make sure one is about wall decorations and the other is fully about wainscoting. Try to be as versatile as possible!

The job is rather simple and once you get the hang of it and understand what the interior decoration in question is, it will take less than an hour to write it. This is a ghostwriting job which means that the client will take credit for writing it and you relinquish your right to own the article.

I am looking for about 20 freelancers to fill out more than 1,000 attraction cards for a travel portal website which will be launched in April 2017. An example of an attraction will be Genting Highlands, Phuket Island, Angkor Wat etc. The attraction card template is as follows:

Attraction Name: (this will be given)
Write name of attraction here

Brief Introduction
Think of few keywords that you would associate with the attraction and put them into a brief sentence.

Description
2-3 lines. This is the introduction to the attraction. It can be a few lines. Describe the attraction as best as you can, aimed at a first-time visitor. Think of how you would define the attraction, the unique things about the attraction, what feelings come to mind etc.

Location
1-2 lines. Give key distances, travel times from city centre, airports or train stations

Opening Days and Hours
1 line. What days is the attraction open? E.g. weekends, every day except holidays. Note the days the attraction is closed. What are the timings. E.g 9am -5pm

Entry Fee and Bookings
1 line.

How to Get there
1-3 lines How to go: Transport options, cost and parking info. For attractions with no road access like beaches with stairs only access, mention this.

Suggested for
1-2 lines. Good for what type of traveller like couples, families, singles, group of friends etc. Also based on type of interests like Diving, nightlife, partying, shopping, eating, culture experience etc.

Time to Spend
1-2 lines How much time is recommended for an average visitor. E.g. 3-4 hours, full day, half day, 1-2 hours

Popularity and best time to go (if applicable)
1-2 lines. How popular is the attraction? How crowded is it and when? Any tips for the best time to go to avoid crowds for attractions which are enjoyed less crowded. E.g. Early mornings or late afternoons.

Activities (if applicable)
What activities can be enjoyed there? E.g. Sailing, swimming, snorkelling, jet-skiing, kite surfing. Only use this section where activities are there. Activities can be adventure activities or kid activities.

Food
Describe what are the food options at or around the attraction. Write for fine-dining, mid-range and budget. Show top 3 for each.

Safety and Fraud
Safety information, frauds, crime ratings and warnings. E.g. pick-pocketing around Grand Palace are common. Always keep an eye on your belongings. Or Jet-ski fraud at Pattaya.

Nearby Attractions
Give nearby attractions which a visitor can go to after visiting this one.

Stay
1-3 lines. Describe the accommodation options near the attractions. Like backpacker accommodation, guest houses, home stays, hotels, resorts. Don’t give a list but just mention if the options are available.
In case of far away or out of town attractions, give top recommended hotels for budget, mid-range and luxury travellers.

Good to Know (Additional Info, Tips)
Any additional information about the attraction not covered above or any tips for tourists. E.g. carry correct change for buying tickets, can be busy in late mornings, so go early, etc.

Payment is RM10 per attraction card and will be paid after each batch is completed and approved. One batch will consist of 5 attraction cards. Instructions, guidelines and examples will be given to help you get started. Each card will take about 30 - 60 minutes to complete once you are familiar with the work.

Successful candidates will be given a contract to sign in PDF which must be printed, signed, scanned, and emailed back to me before the job commences. Timing can be flexible and you can take only what you think you can handle. However, once a timeline has been agreed upon, it is important to stick to it.

Your work will be published under your own name and you can use it as your portfolio for any future writing jobs.

I have an electric uke that I'm dying to try my hands on but I need an amp. Must also have mic input. This is just for me to practice at home so I'm not too particular on quality and brand. I can get a brand new Beta Aivin BM6 here for RM430 so must be something significantly cheaper.

I'm staying in Kota Kinabalu but will consider post if the price is right and I can arrange for someone to bring it to here from KL if sale is made before Aug 23.

Unconventional musical instrument store?

I love playing small portable musical instruments and I do it everywhere I go. I've gone busking on my ukulele on the Great Wall of China (I made half a cracker and 2 empty cans of beer), practised playing my jaw harp in the subway, and fooled around with my Stylophone Beatbox in a park, and annoyed the hell out of my flatmate by trying to learn the Chinese clapper at home. Just got myself a kalimba and I'm waiting for my Sansula to arrive in the mail. I'm not particularly good at any of them but I just love playing them - even if it hurts other people's ears. Anyway, this is just to show what I meant by unconventional musical instruments.

So my question is if anyone knows where I can find a store which I could browse through and see if I could get my hands on some weird/traditional/unconventional/portable instruments in Malaysia? And if anyone has a tongue drum/ handpan for sale please let me know (I'll be back in Malaysia 2 May - 20 May this time round)!

Hi peeps,

I am potentially looking for someone who can do company logo design, business card, and web design. Not exactly rich so I am looking for a freelance price and not necessarily someone with too much experiences. I have absolutely no experience in this industry at all so pardon me if my questions sound stupid:

1. How do you typically charge for logo and business card designing? How many options do you give your client to choose from? What happens if your client is not happy with your first set of design? Do you charge extra for designing more or you agree on a price and the client only pays that price when he/she is satisfied with one of the designs?

2. Roughly how much should I expect to fork out if I want to get one logo design, one business card design, and a website of around 4 pages? Just a rough estimation would do, like RM500, 1k, 2k ...etc?

Any other tips would most welcomed!

Someone banged my car and I'm claiming her insurance for the damage. However, Proton said that it'll take a week to get my car fixed so I'll need to rent a car. The problem is, the guy at Proton said i can only claim RM40 max per day but I went online to check several car rental sites (like Avis etc) and the rate for the cheapest car (Proton Wira) is RM115 a day! My car is a couple month old Persona and I find this totally outrageous.

So my questions are: is there a cheaper place to rent a car? And to anyone who has been through what I am going through now, am I being taken advantage of by Proton?

Priority for Debuffs

Although debuff slots has been raised to 40, in a 25 man, you can only have like 1.6 or so debuff from each. Bring along 4 affliction locks and half of your debuff slots could easily be filled. So do you prioritise on who can use what debuffs?

And does anyone know how the debuffs are knocked off? I know those which share the same "rank" work in a FIFO way but some debuffs never get knocked off e.g. Hunter's Mark. Anyone has a clear concise way of explaining this?

Chinese farmers

The day before I managed to pugged a hunter into a jinta alor run (you know how hard it is to get a group for jinta and when I saw the hunter just killing snapjaws I just asked). Anyway, I found him to be a pretty good player. My first main in WoW ever is a hunter and I don't think I can play half as good as him. He communicated with us in "crude" english but still comprehensible. I suspected that he is a China Chinese (chichi) because:
1. of his english
2. good player (pve at least)
3. female character

and my curiosity got the better of me and when I asked him where is he from, he said China. Anyway, invited him to another ZF run last night and he's the best 5 man pve hunter I've ever seen. He knew exactly when to FD, trap, pull, get his pet to offtank etc. Which reminded me another chichi that I met in my old server. This mage could solo 6 yellow mobs at one go in 100% green gears at lv 18.

Anyway, so I'm just wondering would you bring a known chichi into an instance? Even if he doesnt ninja, can communicate with you 85% of the time, and is a damn good player? Or would you not even give him a chance? Plus, I don't think he works as a gold selling farmer coz he has the time to go to jinta and ZF with us.

This happens to my brother, I knew he had too much WoW when:
