Surface Pro 4 USB Problem

Hello,

My 2 years old Surface Pro 4 USB 3.0 slot is not responding. When USB mouse plugged in, no red light from the mouse. Phone and tab not charging through there. Card reader also not detected.

I tried all sorts of reset and reinstall driver.

Is there a way to replace the USB hardware as I read somewhere it is soldered to the motherboard. Help me list down local repair shops that have expertise on this expensive but manja stuff.

Man.. I need that slot badly.

Thank you very much for your time.

Upgraded Laptop CQ40 --> CQ41

Hello, I've got some problem. I hope someone can help.

I upgraded my laptop at a shop, from CQ40 128AU, into CQ41 203TU by changing motherboard. The upgrade was done after the old ATI graphic card chip gone kong. But I didn't send the laptop with the hard disk because I need to continue my work while they doing the upgrade. So when I put my hard disk back, everything are fine except driver for Intel® HD Graphic and some PCI Devices not doing well in the Device Manager.

The device status for Intel® HD Graphic (with ? mark) is :-

QUOTE

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

What I already did :-

1. uninstall all old drivers of CQ40
2. scan for needed updates from compaq website, so i know my new mobo is CQ41 203TU (unless sometimes its wrong =s)
3. reinstall new drivers from compaq website.
4. flash bios

Still not solved. My 3D games cannot run. Movie playback also not smooth. I hope someone can show me what to do before I spend more time at that same shop =(.

Thank you.

Looking for new Laptp

Hello and salam all,

Im new. Im about 5 years outdated in computer hardware, prices and so on since my trusty CQ40 lived that long. So it would be nice to get recommendations from you guys.

1. Preferred Brand
HP, Lenovo

2. Budget
RM2.5k

3. Usage
Gaming, Online gaming, Photo editing, graphic, office, movie download. Will be carried everyday, tho size and weight doest really matter, but durability does. DVD-burner.

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
14" - 15" i think is good

Plus, im not really into bluetooth, infrared if its possible to avoid useless features. Also it will nice if the model is sort of long lasting for another 5-6 yrs.

Thank you very much.
