Leaking underground pipe

Guys, I have a leaking/burst pipe problem here. I think it's underground of my car porch. Anyone know how the plumber going to detect the burst section and repair it? I'm worry that they are going to dig a long trail and cost me few thousands.

Breaking: Parliament dissolved

SINGAPORE: President Tony Tan Keng Yam, on the advice of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, on Tuesday (Aug 25) dissolved Singapore’s 12th Parliament.

This means that a General Election will have to be held within the next three months. The vote is widely expected to take place in September.

Acting on the Prime Minister’s advice, the President will issue a Writ of Election. The Writ specifies when Nomination Day is; it must be no earlier than five days and no later than one month from the date the Writ is issued. In the last GE, Parliament was dissolved on Apr 19, 2011, and the Writ of Election was issued on the same day.

The recently-issued report of the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee carved up Singapore’s political landscape into a total of 89 seats in 29 constituencies - comprising 13 Single Member Constituencies (SMCs) and 16 Group Representation Constituencies (GRCs). This is up from the 87 seats in 27 constituencies in the previous Parliament.

Cop injured in roadblock incident

KAJANG: A motorcyclist rammed into a policeman while trying to escape a roadblock at Batu 10, Jalan Cheras here.

The 25-year-old man fell and was arrested while Kons Mohd Rizzuad, 29, suffered head injuries in the 11.45am incident.

District police chief Asst Comm Willey Richard said the motorcyclist's road tax had expired when he tried to evade the police.

"The policeman, the motorcyclist and his pillion rider fell during the collision," he added.

ACP Willey said Kons Mohd Rizzuad was sent to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia for treatment. He is in stable condition.

The case is being investigated for attempted murder.

English footballers guilty of match fixing in Australia

Two English footballers have admitted helping to fix games in Australia for a global betting syndicate.
Reiss Noel and Joe Woolley, both 24, were fined after pleading guilty to conduct that corrupts a betting outcome at Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
The pair, who played for Southern Stars in the Victorian Premier League, have agreed to help prosecutors in the case.
Malaysian ringleader Segaran Gsubramaniam, 45, also pleaded guilty and will be sentenced next year.
A coach and two further Southern Stars players are awaiting trial and have been suspended by Fifa and banned by the Football Federation of Australia.
The match-fixing allegations relate to a run of four games in which the team, which plays in Australia's second-tier, conceded 13 goals without scoring.
Noel and Woolley used to represent AFC Hornchurch in England's non-league and have been fined $2,000 (£1,100) and $1,200 (£650) respectively.
Prosecutor Peter Rose said in court that the pair were skilled players who had manipulated the results of games according to instruction.
Defence lawyer Anthony Brand said the two players received instruction from team manager Zia Younan.
He added each were "expendable'' parts of the syndicate's "hit-and-run'' operation and both knew their careers in the sport were "completely finished".
The multi-million dollar betting syndicate, which also has links to Hungary, was discovered by police in September, with Gsubramaniam described as the linchpin of the operation in Australia.
Younan, 36, alongside players David Obaze, 23, and Nicholas McKoy, 27, have also been charged with match-fixing offences and will next appear in court on 20 December.
