Hi all,

I'm currently torn between the Teyes CC3 (rather the unbranded one, with Teyes ROM flashed on it; should be identical since they are manufactured by FYT) - RM1200

vs the Pioneer DMH-Z6350BT which would cost about RM2.2k if I brought it over from Thailand

It will be fitted to a 2012-2015 Toyota Camry, what I am concerned is would be the fitting - the Android player bulging out looks very ricer and aftermarket-ish whereas the Pioneer would be recessed into the dashboard hence looking cleaner. Next would be the sound quality, I have never used an Android player before but was pretty satisfied with Pioneer's sound quality in my previous cars.

I foresee myself using Apple Carplay most of the time, given my understanding that it is an additional step to connect the headunit to mobile hotspot and the running hotspot itself would lead to higher battery consumption of the phone, which would require charging thus feels counterintuitive when the main purpose is to go wireless.

So, in a nutshell my concerns are:

RM1200 vs RM2200
10" vs 6.8"
Unknown reliability vs something that can last for at least 5-10 years
Questionable sound quality vs above average sound quality
Potential stability issues vs reliable like a simple Nokia phone
Aftermarket fitment vs OEM looking fitment

It was a write once, followed by read only memory system, which was only for countries which were granted access by the Malaysian Immigration Authorities.

The technology was subsequently patented in August 2000.

Initially it did not meet ICAO standards as it was developed and released years before the existence of such standards.

Symptoms:
No POST
No HDMI output
No power through USB
No beep

Things done:
- Reset CMOS pins
- Using only 1 stick of DDR3 RAM (confirmed working using another computer) 4GB
- Swapped PSU (working, from another computer)
- Removed graphics card (ASUS nVidia GeForce 650 TI 2GB)
- Reseated processor
- Reapplied thermal paste
- Ensure heatsink and fan is in proper working condition (Noctua D15)

I have all the symptoms and the GP diagnosed me to confirm after a 15 minute long test. Paid SGD92 for the consultation and the thought of knowing half of my face will be paralysed for life made me lost apettite for dinner. It’s almost 9:30pm, sat on my couch for the past 3 hours thinking what should I do next. Good afternoon all heong chan fu lou, dai geh ho!

So i'm going to China soon, and since I have gigabit fibre, static IP, a powerful enough PC that is on 24/7, I mean why not create my own VPN than paying for those services that costs about $10 USD a month right?

My Asus RT-AC87U on Asuswrt-Merlin custom firmware could host PPTP and OpenVPN. However, since iOS10 and the recent versions of MacOS no longer supports PPTP (since its less secure, and the Great Wall of China is able to detect it very easily and henceforth blocking the VPN; rendering it useless)

PPTP and OpenVPN is out of the question. Hence, only L2TP. Anyone here has such experience?
