Working overseas and bringing money home

Hi guys,

I am going to commence my career as a graduate Structural Engineer in Australia. My salary after tax is about AUD 5K (+ 1-2K from side income). I am planning to transfer some of the money back to Malaysia to purchase a property. I am wondering how should I declare my income with the Malaysian authorities. Is there any tax that I should pay?

Asus U36SD Sound Problem

(1) My laptop have recently survived from a water spillage.
(2) After letting the laptop completely dried, i switch on the laptop but it failed to start up.
(3) I then disassemble the laptop and replaced the hard disk and random access memory.
(4) The laptop can then be switched on.
(5) I then installed the OS and install all the latest drivers for Asus U36SD
(6) Everything works except that there is no sound coming from the laptop.

Does this indicate there is a problem with the sound card? How can I fixed this? Oh BTW, when I plug my laptop to my SmartTV via HDMI, there is sound coming from the TV. I am wondering whether this is a problem with the sound card or I have reassemble the laptop in an incorrect fashion.

Laptop will closed automatically

Hello guys,

I am currently using Lenovo Y-510 Ideapad. The laptop will automatically closed after I use a battery as my power sources. I call Lenovo in Australia and they agree to fix for me. But when I am almost ready to sent my laptop to them everything is doing fine. Is there any problem with my laptop power supply compartment or with the battery? Can you guys state other problem that lead to this auto-close problem. FOr your information sometimes I managed to get into the startup of Windows but sometimes I can even pass throught the BIOS mode. Any suggestion what happend?

Girls nowadays are mostly materialistic. But there are always some good girl that look for personality rather than just being materialistic but guys still have to buy some gift to make them happy and some telephone bills when you make endless call. So roughly how much do you guys spend during the courting process? I am not trying to offend girl being materialistic in this thread but i just want to get rough idea what should be the limit when spending.

Hello guys. Recently i read a book with the title I Love Stocks by Pauline Yong. It mentioned that that the age restriction to trade in Stock is set by the brokerages company. So my question is which brokerage company have the youngest age restriction?? I have some money to backup me in the bank but i am just seventeen. Is there any posibility to invest around this age or i had to wait till i am 18 or older??

I am thinking to join in after the recession. One more question,.... Do u guys really use fundamental analysis or technical analysis in which stock to buy. I had seen my dad and relatives not using any of this to calculate.

Hello guys.. Can anyone explain me the full pathway to become lawyer?? I meant from a normal SPM student to lawyer that can open their own consultant firm. What about doing law in US or Australia?? Is there any specific test to take if i am doing them in both of the country compare to doing it locally?? I am asking on behalf of my friend. What is the best institute that offer law program in Malaysia??

I think Dell have a good customer service in Malaysia. One of my friend interested in Dell laptop and would like to bring it to Australia... Anyone have any idea about Dell customer service and warrant in Australia?? Izzit as good or far worst than Malaysia??? Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (Software Engineering)
Bachelor of Information Sciences J nt Major (Software Engineering)

Bachelor of Information Sciences with Honours (Software Engineering)
B.Sc.(Hons) in computing with specialism in software engineering

They are roughyly the same and it is rather confusing to contrast each of them. Anyone can explain their differences
