It seems that my monitor occassionly blinks due to unknown reasons.<br />I have done the following:<br /><br />1)changed the psu<br />2)changed the graphics card<br />3)changed the monitor (3 times, the monitors work fine with other computers)<br /><br />I suspect it is the motherboard.
