Networking senior I need ur advices

Hi all,

Currently I have been working with a SI company around 1 and a half year. We always tell our customer we sell everything. Hence any kind of customer we also need to do, small or big, or the product we did not ever hear before. My first job, and I was ask to focus on different area based on the customer and company direction. I am confused, and I only have a little knowledge in each area, I cannot even answer a very technical question from the customers..

What I want is to focus in one area, such as Wireless, to be an expert on that area, from there I can expand my knowledge to other area. Is it possible to get a job like that?

Networking senior I need your help!

Hi to fellow networking senior,

I am fresh graduate and I am going to start my career in networking field. I got 2 offers from 2 different company, one is HP and another is CTC Global (formerly known as CSC ESI).

The job position in HP is a graduate program, focus on networking, 3 rotations in 3 different networking teams. Good starting salary, same benefits with permanent staff. It's not clear on what I am going to do in hp, said I will be updated in orientation week. But I know one of the team doing 12 hour shifts, one of the team need to go bangi to client side.

The job position CTC Global offer me is Associate Architect. A permanent position as well, good starting salary. This company is a Cisco Gold partner, so all products I am gonna touch is Cisco. The job scope is doing presale, like bidding, consult, presentation. In the first year I will be given training and learning. I also have the chance to further certified to CCNP and CCIE.

Question is, anyone working in HP or CSC with networking related position? What kind of job you usually do? Whic company would you advice me to go for?
