Job Hop

I recently joined a newly established private investment company at the beginning this year, after being poached by my ex-boss. The purpose of me joining this company is that I would like to delve deeper in the analysis/ investment sector of finance. My previous two roles were as a insolvency consultant in a medium audit firm (6 months) and as a senior exec (1y 2months) at a small trustee.

Within this past 5 months the work has been sporadic and the job scope has shifted into a marketing/ business development role where I am tasked to source to procure new clints by connecting with our targeted segments.

The pay is average, however of late there have been salary delays of not exceeding 2 weeks (after the 7th) and the EPF contributions for April & May have not been made. Potential reflags.

I have started looking for jobs (not seriously) in the meantime as I am afraid the company will go under/ the job scope not aligned to my preferences.

Problem being is how am I to convince my prospective employer that my job hopping is justifiable (except the 1st job where I could not handle the work-life balance), do I state outright in the resume the reasons for me leaving those roles?

Leaving job after 2 months

Hi guys,

I am seeking for you opinion on my current predicament. This is my first job and I graduated with a degree in finance.

I am a contract staff (6 months) currently working in a totally unrelated field to what I studied. I feel like it takes me ages to grasp the concepts and I had a mini performance review 1 1/2 month into my job, where it didn't go well. My team lead gave me below average scores in 3/4 fields stating that I'm behind my colleague who joined at the same time as me. I feel quite hopeless as my whole team know that I am a weakest link within the team.

As I don't feel confident enough in approving the workflows/emails, I started consulting my senior who complained to my team lead as she has her own work do. I got sounded by my team lead who asked me to stop disturbing her for the next month as her workload is alot and to direct my questions to the intern. (the rest of the team are relatively inexperienced with the most experience one being the intern with 5 months of experience, who is leaving by the end of this month.)

Ever since that day, I loathe my workdays and I don't feel like this job is a good fit for me. I know times are tough and I am luck to get this job in the first place but I don't really enjoy my work and I feel anxious about the upcoming day, I constantly overthink about my previous work which may or may not contain errors which can comeback to haunt me.

Should I hunker down for the next few months and start applying for jobs, or should I just tender my 1 month resignation notice?
