MyOnline Passport

My passport almost expired, read the news that the online passport renewal will be effective Sep. Waited and, not surprising, I could not proceed with the error message "permohonan tidak dapat diteruskan, sila rujuk pejabat imigresen". Read on imigresen FB a few people already encountered this. Called them and they asked me to go to their office and apply manually. Stupid imigresen, can't even get simple things right

Maxis App Data Drain

I seldom used up my data but in recent months I just noticed that my data is draining too fast. Surprisingly I just found out that Maxis App top the list of data usage,
averaging about 250MB per month!!!!! Cannot remember for what reasons I downloaded it but I have never opened it for months. I'm totally appalled that Maxis ended
with this dirty tactics of draining your data so that consumers can be forced to upgrade their data? I also just noticed so many victims and not me alone faced this problem.
Read some reply that Maxis claimed that it's downloading updates and users need to log out to avoid the background updates. Seriously? Why users not being warned of this
before? Yeah Maxis might claim it's understood and common for app to run in the background and we shall be aware of that. But what a coincidence that the telco company's
app is the number one app which drain customer's data.

I'm really angry with this tactics, whether intentional or unintentional. I'll definitely lodged a complaint with all authorities to highlight this.

Wang Pos Blunder

Apologies to open a topic on this, but I'm really in dilemma and hope to get some advice here, also hoping no one will make a mistake like me.

First time submitting a tender, I have forgotten to tear out the counterfoil of the wang pos. I submitted 5 tender (even helping friends to submit), total 2k+ and after submitting just realized I didn't tear out the counterfoil.
I called and e-mail JPJ and Pos Malaysia. JPJ basically ignore me. Pos Malaysia replied they cannot do much with it. I'm worried if the unsuccessful tender was not returned to me, or if someone intentionally not returning my wang pos since it is a complete one with the counterfoil, hence they can cash out from Pos Office after 3 months.

I have all the serial number of the wang pos, taken photos of my borang M.V. 10A, RM 10 registration slip and only the first piece of the wang pos of each tender submission. I'm not sure what to do next.

I'm considering the following:-
a) Wait after tender result is out and go jpj and check with them my tender record if unsuccessful.
b) Try to collect Wang Pos directly from JPJ.
c) If do not receive the returned wang pos, make a police report and present the report to Pos Malaysia, hopefully they can pay me back the amount.

I think it could be common for people to forget removing the counterfoil of the wang pos, but isn't it really risky if anyone can just cash out from Pos Office? Probably in future I'll just go for bank draft, much safer.

Any advice is appreciated here.

WTS Ipad Air

I have an offer from Maxis (only 1 unit), any unit of Ipad Air or Mini but must be Wife + 4G
Honestly I get RM 900 cheaper, hence I'm selling to anyone interested at RM 300 cheaper, so I make RM 600.
I already have 2 units so I don't need it.

Here's the deal:-
- You get to choose any model but you need to pay a deposit of RM 200 first, if you can trust me
- I'm not sure how long it will arrive, but I'll place the order with Maxis immediately once I receive your order
- As I do agree that people don't just pay deposit for items, as it's always risky, so if there's no reply by tonight, I might just simply
buy the lower end unit and open up for sale here again, so that I can sell through COD, safer for everyone in doubts.

Anyone interested please PM me, genuine seller here.

Graphic card for S550

Hi all,

I just got a good offer from a bro to sell edifier S550 at a very good price. Can someone recommend a suitable graphic card?
I have previously asked for help on a 3k rig and suggestion was asus xonar essence stx, is this card suitable if I buy the s550? Read that due to s550 supports analog only, might be a waste for the card.
Any suggestion?

Please help me with my RM 3,000 rig

I’m sorry if this question has been asked so many times before, but I have read through quite a number of topics but most not relevant.
I’m really a noob and looking to build a non gaming rig, really don’t want to end up paying much more for something not performing up to the price I pay, I have read some bitter lessons from other members.

Basically my requirements are below:-
Option A – RM 3,000 Rig (to maximize tax claim ehehe)
1) Non gaming, mostly for surfing, downloading, movies and music, a desktop smooth and fast enough will be good
2) I need a monitor, probably the dell monitor many bros recommend here
3) I’m working in Genting, cold temperature; probably I don’t need an expensive casing?
4) Does a video card makes much difference since I’m not into gaming? Do I need one?

Option B – same as above but include speaker
I’m not quite sure if I can make it into RM 3,000 range, but I’m ok to spend up to RM 4,000 range. I’m considering buying a high end speaker since I listen to music and watch movies a lot. Probably Logitech Z5500 or Edifier S550? Any recommendation? I’m currently using Klipsch Promedia GMX A2.1, hence I would definitely want something much better than my current speaker. I also consider using my speaker as a home theatre in future, so any good recommendation?
I believe with a speaker, I’ll need a good sound card so how much will it cost to build a rig with a high end speaker and with requirement in option A?

I’m planning to purchase in lowyat tomorrow or latest this Friday, really appreciate if anyone can enlighten me.
Thanks in advance
