Here's something for Audi fans to looks forward to I know the number of 4 ring owners are growing judging by the sheer number of Audis on the road.

Hey peeps - to all those who celebrated, hope you all had a great Pai Thi Kong celebration last night

After last night's event headed off to service my ride at Wearnes Autohaus and enjoy some CNY fare at the dealership.. been keeping off my intention to check out the ActiveHybrid5 for a while. Here is the best part of BMW these days, not sure about the other German brands (haven't owned one) They do quite a lot of events to keep the customers happy and keep the relationship. Today's event was more of a thank you session with a marketing pitch thrown in, I guess its normal. So, while servicing the car, took the Hybrid out for a spin. Session was limited since it was an ope day for them, even then the short drive was impressive. the only things that was in the way was the pricing

There were plenty of other models on offer too, apparently the offer is only good for this one week. There are pre-registered, demo to courtesy cars plus discounts on the new ones. For the benefit of those who plan to get a Beemer, here's some that might interest you, some that I listed down for some like minded fellows:

If you want to know if it's worth it, it is. My previous ride was a demo unit that served me well. Plus the BSRI programme is quite comprehensive if you want peace of mind. haven't had any issues or problems throughout my ownership.

Premium CBU Hybrid Cars - Post NAP

Hello folks... looks like the NAP was a blow by for most of us since nothing much came out of it for us car buyers.

Since there will be no more exemptions on imported/ CBU Hybrids, was itching to find out what's left from the premium stable out there, so decided to check out Audi and BMW Didn't really bother about there Japs.

Called up Audi Mutiara Damansara. The person on the phone immediately and curtly said "No Stock" and offered very little info. Ask about any demo unit for sale, the answer was "Don't know". never expected this attitude from Audi.

Next called up my BMW dealer, Wheelcorp in Setia Alam - No stock

I did come across a pre-registered BMW ActiveHybrid 5 online. It's is a demo car from Wearnes in Segambut and it's being offered with some discounts. Called up the dealer and it's still available for the taking for now. The price listed was RM428,000 which is quite interesting. It was priced almost Rm500K when new and even now, it's priced slightly above a 528i.

Did not manage to get much info, apart from being repeatedly requested to visit the showroom to view the car and discuss details (cos I asked about trade in options with my current ride). Might just sign the papers if I get a good deal for my 320d

I see many Toyota fans in this forum and I am pretty sure that all you along with my dad will be looking forward to the launch of new Toyota Corolla Altis.

Interestingly this model was a part a great debate during a family gathering last weekend, what do you expect from a family of Toyota faithfulls..

Anyway, those looking forward to this, I'm sure you planning for a showroom visit this weekend ..

Just about to enjoy long weekend and duty calls. Going on long flight again tomorrow.. 13hrs...*Sigh*

To counter the ridiculously boring and hopeless in flight entertainment and reading materials I'm always prepared with my iPad - movies, games and app magazines.

Bur then, I'd like to expand some good reading titles or app magazines which are completely free. I already have quite a few that I subscribe too so now I am wanting some really cool read which is completely free.

Any category welcome - Science, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Motoring, Special Interest and anything u can think of.

Appreciate if you guys can suggest some titles so I can download and keep myself busy during the flight.

Do share your suggestion people. BTW its for iPad

BMW Weekend Deals at BMW Wheelcorp

Hey guys,

Was taking my time to upgrade to an F30 320d but stumbled on this little promo by BMW Wheelcorp in Setia Alam. Wheelcorp has some company registered cars with low mileage, so I'm guessing that this would be available at the discounted price mentioned here.

Initially waiting for the M-Sport 320d but if the deals are good this weekend, maybe I'd just settle for the 320d sport if they have one available.

i know BMW has a premium selection programme for used BMWs wonder if this would be the same. Anyone familiar with such deals? What do I need to expect in terms of warranty and service packages?
