5.1 Sound System on PC

Good day to all,

1st off this is not directly a home theater system but in relation to it.... seems to the most appropriate place to ask for advise. If not please do direct me to the right subforum

Equipment/Softwares:

Sonic Gear Blue Thunder
Motherboard H97 Gaming 3
Realtek
Sound Blaster 2

Everything is plugged correctly ( check like 7 times ). During the test using either realtek or soundblaster each speakers works perfectly fine. But when it plays songs, youtube, games, movies the sub just seems to be quite...

Try googling for some troubleshooting idea nothing worked (swapping the center and sub-woofer, changing the gain, bass redirection, swapping the cables )

Please do let me know if you guys could assist me. thank you

[attachmentid=5323010][attachmentid=5323014][attachmentid=5323016]

Hi All

I am interested to learn mandarin for the longest period of time, start with the basic and move on slowly from there.

I am 29, Indian guy live in klang teluk pulai area and work in setia alam tesco area so location along this area would be perfect. Been looking to get an one to one session type of classes at the tutors location after work hours (between 7pm to 10pm) on weekday or weekends depending on the availability of the tutor.

Not really looking for highly qualified tutor, someone that knows the language and has experiences teaching, preferably with writing but if its only speaking I am fine as well.

Not interested in sitting in a language class with a group at the moment. I learn at my own pace and dont want the group to either bore me down or its too fast I cant keep up.

thank you.

Aquarium Filtration System

Hi Sifu - Sifu

Tank size - 6 feet by 8 inch by 2 feet holds up to 60 gallons of water

Currently holding 10 - 12 koi (small size), 6 silver fish(not sure the name but its slightly smaller and 1 Bandaraya Fish. This was recommended by LFS stating that its alright for me to place them in my tank.

The PH Level is normal but the ammonia level and nitrate level is at critical level.

It now week 3, Did the test in week 2 and changed 50% of the water.

Changing the water is a temp solution, Most will advice that the number of fish in my tank is too much but reducing the number of fish just makes the tank look dull. I dont intend to over stock of course and make the fishes suffer. That just cruel. But for the better living environment if that is the only solution how many can i have in a tank this size?

Some did advice that the factor causing this is my filtration system not cycling to the capacity of the tank. Hoping this is true and here I am looking for some confirmation before i invest in something.

So guys, lets say I get an external canister filtration system (something that can handle 60 gallons of water). Will this stabilize the water ammonia and nitrate level?

If yes, what brand do you suggest. Researching online says, getting the external canister and change/add the filter media will give better result than using the stock stand media. Is that true?

My current filter system small...water goes thru 2 sponge, charcoal, bio balls, and ceramic rings and pumps out of the water back to the tank. Only drift wood as decoration with one air bubble. Just like the pic without the gravel now.

[attachmentid=4213188]
[attachmentid=4213189]

History

I had tetra and danios previously, after a while the number of fishes start reducing but not drastically one a month or otherwise the tank was in good condition and all the test came out positive. After a while decided to change the species to koi, introduced them slowly, 7 to 10 days apart in 3 batches. 3 weeks later here I am with this problem again.

please advice what can i do?

thank you

Excel Formula - Formatting

Hi and Good day to all,

I need some help on an excel formula. Based on the example of the pic below

[attachmentid=4143254]

1. How can I insert a formula to change the cell colour to green if. Eg CS1 Product B, Inventory - CS1 sales >=0 and if its negative there will no change in colour ( or change to red).

2. The same as above but for CS2 Inventory - CS1 sales - CS2 sales >=0. For CS3, its same but now it will be inventory - CS1 sales - CS2 sales - CS3 sales >=0.

Not sure if this can be done but can we;

3.Product C : Will be able to accommodate delivery for 1st Sept and 8 Sept. As for 15 Sept, CS4 no CS5 yes. If the above (1 and 2) can be done, the formula will follow chronological order which would point out CS4 no CS5 also no. Is there a way for it to calculate that weeks delivery and match the best possibility. In this case CS5 green and CS4 no change in colour/red?

Extra notes

- All the week delivery is done on a Monday, the inventory tracker would only have 4 dates in months (unless its a 5 week month).
- Once the delivery is done, the whole column will be removed and paste into another area in the same sheet.
- The total inventory is picking up from another cell
- As the orders come, it will be plunked into the relevant week ( usually at the end of the order line, rarely in between current orders so the team just adds a collumn and plucks in the data.)

thanking in advance

If this will make it complicated, please do suggest another method of tracking. Not in a formatting way but some other tracker on a different sheet.

The goal here is to have a quick view on the deliveries that are good to go instead of manual subtracting the inventory with sales by line...Time consuming and tedious. Plus its boring when you have to do this daily..hehe

Hi Guys,

Starting a new tread focusing on tetras and other small fishes. Sort of asking-starting. There are older tread but its no longer active.

My tank now consist off

1. Starfire Red Zebra Danios - 7-8
2. Black Neon - 5
3. Zebra Danios - 8-10
4. Lemon Tetra - 2
5. Featherfin Catfish - 1 (the survivor from my old batch of fishes)(got sad story behind it)
6. Bandaraya - 1 ( also the survivor )
7. Neon Tetra - 5
8. Small Alien like looking - 4 ( I cant recall the name, pic attached )
9. Red Phantom - 2
10. Red Eye Tetra big - 2
11. Red Eye Tetra small - 3 (both the red eye look the same but the body structure is a bit different, not sure if they are different species)

Tank size - 6 feet by 8 inch by 2 feet holds up to 60 gallons of water

Front view
[attachmentid=3669250]
Side View
[attachmentid=3669251]
Back View
[attachmentid=3669252]

The below pic, the square red and green round framed fish is the same species? Also what does is the blue square frame fish called?
[attachmentid=3669258]
Another pic of the small alien looking, what is it called?
[attachmentid=3669259]

Sry the fish pic is not clear, and i cant recall the name even thou i bought it

Had more fishes but didnt survive!...I had 6 rummy nose, 2 survived..so kesian bought 4 more...2 days later all 6 died ....i had 2 long tail sword fish..also died after 3 weeks....same goes to the neon...probably bought 20 ( not at one go but over a period of time as they die ) but at last 5 survived...and this 5 is really small compared to other fishes. I am introducing about 10 fishes on 2 week or a month basis.

After reading some old tread i think i need to a PH test, cause I want to add rummy nose and more neon tetra to my collection. Care to give some advise what I can do to make my tank better for me to add them? I change the water 2 weeks once, about 30% of the water and put in 2 cap of anti chlorine..otherwise feed them twice which i am planning to cut down to once a day.

Also do share some pic of your tank and fishes
Reading some write up here and there at the moment.

Better if I spend and make one? bear in mind I am on tight budget.

p.s - Never wore one in my life

Tile Modification

Hi Guys

I have this wall in my dining area that is covered with tiles, unfortunately I don't really fancy it. Instead of removing the tiles and 'replastering' looking at some thing cheaper.

Crazy thought I had, which was goggled

1. Repainting the tiles - this can so so be done, 1st off scrubbing the tiles - cleaning the tiles - drying it off - and then paint it with a special paint.

2. Putting a wallpaper over it - This is not advisable but can also be done. Scrub - clean - plaster the grooves to make it even and then put on a thick wallpaper

3. The rubber tiles/ tiles that feels like wood (not sure what it is called)- Scrub - Clean - Apply glue - pray it sticks

Can this be done or its illogical? Wondering if any of you tried anything like this? Any tips, should and shouldn't, inputs please

Aquarium Light Stand

Good day to all,

I got a myself a second hand tank, it came along with the lighting but without a stand.

1st view - its just laying on top of the tank glass rim, its almost to 6 feet in length

[attachmentid=3413113]

2nd view - picked it so you can see the is a glass plate on corner

[attachmentid=3413130]

3rd view - on the other side of the tank, as you can see this the filter side, no glass plate but a glass divider

[attachmentid=3413131]

4th view with measurement tape - its 5 inch apart for the hole where the stand leg lock should go in

[attachmentid=3413117]

I am have gone to sungai buloh side, xia leng shop in shah alam, and LFS at klang area but no luck on the stand

the only one that sold was Xia Leng in shah alam but it was too small. The standard size is 4 inch according to him..bought it anyway just to test and see if i could modifiy.... this is when I realise that at one corner I have a glass plate which would mean cant securely slot in the stand there and my glass is too think for it as well....not sure how to modify cause it like a cheap plastic...bend a bit sure patah ...

look at the example below (completely diffrent from what I bought) - this was from another shop in sg buloh...looking for something like this but they dont sell the stand separately...so was every shop I went into doesnt sell the light size as mine...its all the smaller version....even if i find it it has to be thick enough to slot into my 1cm glass.

[attachmentid=3413133]

Any ideas ladies and gentlemen? on how I can go about this? The old owner just placed on top some small tiles...it was scary 1 touch and the whole thing can collapse..I want it to be secure and alleviated from the tank a bit so its easier to food in instead of moving it all the time....
