Which to get Triton or Ranger or BT50 or Navara?

My uncle want to replace his ageing Hilux (10 years old). He had waited for the new Hilux. Last weekend he found it extremely jumpy and lacking of get up and go compared to Ranger or Triton. He went back 2nd time to test the 2.4 at another dealer and still found it disappointing because he set his mind to get only Toyota.

So now which? He like the Ranger for robustness and Triton Adventure smoothness and turbo power.
Anyone here can share their experiences and ownership problems?

Today, when I was fetching my younger brother and sisters, a lorry went through the red light missing my car by 2 feet. My side was green and i was driving behind 2 other vehicles so he clearly knew it was red on his side.
I horned at the lorry but I think he wanted to fight. He stopped after going through the red light.
I did not stop and continue to school.
My sister said she saw a dark skin lorry driver drinking from a can.

what is the best thing to do next time? Should I get one of those hd car camcorders? Or should I take his registration number? reporting to malaysian police any good?
