[WTS] Original Movie Poster

psychic_wave — Fri, 28 Sep 2012 23:46:39 +0800

Item:Original Movie Poster from US

Descripton: Thank you for your interest in my listing! This is a GENUINE collector's item, an ORIGINAL movie poster.

Movie posters are produced by the studios to publicise their movies and as such they generally are sent for display in movie theatres. It was actually produced during the original year that the movie played in the theatres. All U.S ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS measure approximately 27"x 41" inches (69x102 cms) and are generally "DOUBLE SIDED" unless state "SINGLE SIDED" in the listing. *Double sided means that the poster is printed all the way through on both sides so that when placed in a light box (like in theatres) it displays better. *Single sided means that the reverse of the poster is white or blank. Movie posters generally come in two styles: *Advance (which means it comes out ahead of the movie for publicity awareness) Nick name TEASER POSTER. *Regular (which means the final version with credits)

Buy with confidence from Me! I won't let you down. All my ORIGINAL posters are not reproductions!, unless noted otherwise. Original posters? What's the big deal? Original movie posters are designed by the movie studio and are printed in LIMITED quantity with the release of the movie (for display in theaters).

The original poster value depends on a few factors. *The movie is a blockbuster hit (Avatar, Dark Knight, Star Trek), *"ORIGINAL" poster or "REPRINT" is hard to find, *A unique artistic design of the poster example early 2000.., "big close-up of somebody's face" Golden Oldies, When it comes to movie posters, most collectors agree that things just ain't what they used to be. In the early 1900s, posters were hand-drawn works of art. Today, they are usually computerized images that offer little in the way of creativity. Movie posters not only provide you with great artwork and enjoyment, but have also been a SOLID PROVEN investment that way outperforms stocks and real estate. Anyone looking at posters as an investment had best stick with the ORIGINALS.

The main difference is the original was created to hang in a light box, which means it is double-sided to allow the light to shine through and create a semi-3D effect. Replicas are printed on cheaper stock. The 1977 release of Star Wars changed everything.., Before then, only hardcore collectors sought out original posters.

From that point, on cheap imitations and forgeries have flooded the market to meet demand. That's why you have to deal with somebody reputable.., Buy with confidence from me! I won't let you down. "KEEP IT UNTIL IT HARD TO FIND"

Please see impawards.com for other poster. Ask me first and I will responce ASAP. Thanks
