Hello guys, I'm a university student whose having my own online business for the 4th month now. I have registered my shop under ssm, but not yet register a company bank account and tax account. Recently, my profit is getting quite good, and I feel like contributing to our country by paying tax. But the problem is, my products are imported either in small batch or individually (by paying ringgit) , and my purchase doesn't pay any custom duty or gst, and I don't have the purchase invoice from my foreign wholesaler. So, what do I attach as a proof of purchase?

I bought a film camera from Ebay , parcel sent from Japan, declared amount $160 USD. I've read some topic regarding about importing camera is tax free, and I have screened through the PERINTAH DUTI KASTAM / CUSTOMS DUTIES ORDER (dunno correct reference for importation tax anot) and found this:

Anyway, back to the topic of this thread, I realized something fishy is going on with Pos Malaysia , in these pics below , you can see that Pos Malaysia update every status different with and also earlier than other service provider, which is something very suspicious.

Then, I got so curious about EMS, cz I was thinking: What the hell is EMS, why I never see this mail provider before? Guess what:

Funny or not, the EMS of Malaysia is Pos Malaysia! Why now Pos Malaysia update a different status with the global EMS , looks more like wanting to pancing ur money so they can send people to help u ''release'' the parcel.

Anyway, I will update my parcel status soon. Hope my parcel can pass through customs inspection

Haha siao liao, one day got so many backfire. Ok first of all, I want to gongxi many of you because you have guessed right! I am a new buyer on eBay, previously only had experience on Taobao.

Ok, let me clarify this. I did acknowledge that item >RM500 will be detained by customs, and I am ready to pay the tax already . Until I read one thread from LY forum or some other forum (i don't remember ady) ,there was a guy who suggested the TS to wait few days because the tax-free item even if >RM500 will eventually be released. ( I will update here if I found the thread again )

The reason I am posting this thread is because I couldn't find any thread that has step by step experience for a person like me who got his item detained by customs for the first time, so I thought that it will be good for me to share my full experience on this matter. Please note that this thread is not to diao Pos Malaysia , although I admit that my title is quite misleading 🤣

Anyway, tbh, I don't really appreciate those who call me bodo, cz not everybody smart like you know how to claim parcel right? 😥😥

Update>>Today around 3pm I received a call from Pos Malaysia, but I missed the call. So I tried calling the phone number again, bad idea! It just kept saying that the line is busy, and you will have to press 1/2 every 30 seconds to select the language cz ur call will not be held.

PO returned the call at 5pm , and told me that my parcel from japan has been detained by custom, and I will have to pay 40 smt to appoint them to release the item for me, or else I will have to go KLIA myself. I asked him the reason my camera was detained by customs, he told me that the law has changed and camera also have to pay tax.

Anyway, the guy did suggest me to wait a few day to see if my item will be released. If it wasn't releasing, I should email to cspmih@pos.com.my and attach the invoice and tracking number, so he can proceed to the next step, which is appointing an agent to claim my item.

I'm studying in a Chinese independent school which means I might be taking UEC next year, but what concern me is that some lessons of uec are actually out of syllabus , and learning phys, chem and bio in Chinese is really unnecessary tbh .

I am thinking of proceeding A level ,diploma or UEC, but actually, which is better?

I have this old laptop, i used it very often for gaming, runs smoothly but now whenever i play high usage game, it will shut down for overheating problem...
