Hi All,

I tried searching the same topic but most are > 4 years old so not sure whether it is still applicable today.

I just renovated my house and asked the contractor to pull the Fiber Optic from the Living room to the external wall.

He just leave the Fiber Optic cable rolled up and hanging on the external wall. He said TM will do the connection and provide the box.

So just want to confirm is it true that TM will provide the box ? Or I have to buy one ?

To migrate WA and chat history from Android to iPhone.
To have dual WA run on iPhone 1.

Current Setup
iPhone 1 - Personal Whatsapp
Android - Business Whatsapp
(Technically we can't migrate WA from Android to iPhone but it can be done if it's a new iPhone)

Plan
1. Setup a new iPhone 2
2. Migrate Android WA -> new iPhone 2
3. Install WA for Business on iPhone 1
4. Move the Android SIM card to iPhone 1
5. Restore the WA Business on iPhone 1

Has anyone done this before?

Note:
Tested scenario.
iPhone 1 Personal WA remains.
Install iPhone 1 with WA Business and move the SIM card. the WA retained all the chat and group but chat history will not be migrated.

Hi All,

I plan to renovate my house and want to prepare a termination point outside the house. So far the area is Streamyx connection but not sure whether any fibre connection in the future.
I want to prepare a termination point outside the house. Want to check what is the connector should I use.

Termination box --> Fiber / RJ11 Cabling / Cat 6 --> TV Cabinet Wall Plate

Termination Box - 1 Fiber Socket + 1 RJ11 Socket + 1 RJ45 Socket

Each socket will have cabling into the house Wallplate.

Please advice whether will this work ? Anything else that I miss ?

Need advice on Renovation

Hi guys, I have an old double-story house that required full renovation and after reading the posts in LYN, I am a bit confused regarding the Architect, Interior Design, CCC, CF, work permit and etc. Hope can get some advice here.
I met some renovation contractor and has given some simple plan. He said I can go to DBKL/Land Office (forgot which) to buy the standard plan and submit to get the work permit and then after work completed, re-submit the plan to get the Certificate.
It doesn't sound like a proper process so need advice here.

The work.
1. Full knockdown and redo the front gate.
2. Extension of probably 4M at the back
3. Re-design or relocate the ground floor room
4. Re-design or relocate the 1st-floor room
5. Maybe extend 1st-floor master bedroom
6. Re-do all wiring and plumbing

Question:
1. For now, I want to design the house plan first, so I should just get Interior Design to design the house plan first, right?
2. Once I have the design, then I can get the various contractors to provide their quotation?
3. Then get the Architect to draw up a proper plan for submission?

Will post more question later.

Hi to the expert in HT Setup.

I am a noob in HT System setup so please bear with me on this.

I recently upgrade to a bigger LED TV and unfortunately it came with less HDMI input than the old LCD TV.

So I need to connect the following to the LED TV with HDMI connection:-

1. Media Player
2. XBOX
3. Astro Beyond
4. Samsung Home Theater in a box

I am thinking to buy an AV Receivers to act as HDMI Switch.

The Setup:

Media Player, Astro Beyond, XBOX --> AV Receivers --> LED TV
Surround Speaker from HT -> AV Receiver (using the black and red wire).
DVD player --> AV Receivers

Will this work?
