NFC payment in Malaysia

Hello fellow /k forumer,

Within these few years, there is so many E-Wallet popping out in the market, I believe each of them have their own pros and cons.
Most of these apps utilize QR/Bar Code to make the transfer. And most of it requires you to top up into their app (hence the name Wallet?) in order for you to make payment.

However since Malaysia already switched to PayWave for CC / Debit / Prepaid card, why there is not much "wallet" which let you store your card information and make payment via NFC technology ?
So far the only one I know of which work properly is Samsung Pay, which is using their own proprietary tech to store the card's info and use NFC to make the payment.

Some of the access card in our condo / office or similar cards utilize NFC technology, it will be way more convenient to just store those cards information and just swipe your hp right? Instead of needing to top up > scan bar code > make payment. It's easier to manage as well, as you no need to keep track of each of your wallet separately etc.

Lets see what's your opinion on this.

P/S: Do introduce me some app if you find that it suits what I described and works in Malaysia. Maybe I'm too "sua ku" (in hokkien).

USJ 1 property need advise

Hi all sifu,

Recently i had been surveying around usj 1 area as i plan to buy my first property for own stay.

I currently shortlisted a few, any current owner or tenant can give some feedback on the unit?

1. Regina
2. Usj one avenue
3. Usj one park
4. Riverdale

I would like to know in term of
a. Existing tenant in the condo. Is it lots of African or Foreignor?
b. Surrounding of the condo, safe? give out a bad vibe as too mch bangla etc around? Etc.
c. Facility vs maintenance fee, does it worth it? Ps:i don't mind high fee as long as facility is well maintained
d. Any flooding issue in usj area? I know Avenue basement carpark flooding case, but seems like only once and its in 2012. Any other flooding issue where the way back to usj 1 is totally unaccessible etc?
e. Ceiling height, i plan to do plaster ceiling.

The unit Im looking is around 1k sqft and around 550k, and all above seems to fit the criteria. I don't mind bad view, as long as not facing HTC or cemetry can ad.

Would appreciate any opinion. Thanks

Opinion on partner going out with oppo sex

1. Are you fine with your gf/bf going out with the opposite sex alone (as in only 1:1, there is no other party)?

2. The gathering may be something like went out for movie or dinner or both etc.

3. The gathering lasted until quite late, around midnight (no clubbing or drinking)

Personally I would like to avoid these kind of situation when I'm in a relationship as I find it weird to be going out with someone else alone and do those stuff which looks very similar to a date.

I feel that even you are a very outgoing person, we should at least try to avoid this kind of gathering, this can helps to avoid unnecessary quarrel/argument/insecurity with your partner.

Maybe I'm a man so I feel that hardly man will initiate a "date" if he is not interested in her. I may be too insecure but thats how I feel.

Let me know your thought on this kind of situation and view from Girls perspective is very welcomed as well.

Finding back an old game name

Hi, recently I plan to find back a game which I couldn't remember the title. I just remember the gameplay. Hope someone can help me out by giving me some possible games name.

The game is similar like Super Robot War but it is not I believe.

The characteristic of the game:

QUOTE

1. It is turn based game, like Super ROBOT WAR
2. It is also robot/mecha game.
3. The displayed gameplay is in 3D model (THIS) instead of the "head" unit in Super Robot War (NOT THIS)
4. It is an old game, I played it during I'm in primary school, I think around 2001 - 2005 (not sure the release date of the game)
5. I played it in Chinese or Japanese language.
6. During cutscene (after 1 stage is completed), the character is kuso version when they're not in their Robot
7. If not mistaken, the main character robot is Yellow color. There are Black color robot which look like a samurai with sword, Red/Pink color robot which uses bow, Blue color robot which uses spear and also Green color robot. All these robot is user controllable and not the NPC robot.

8. When you select which to attack, you will go into a new window/area. You will select the action or skill you want in this window. Your robot will perform the action by itself without using any cutscene unlike Super Robot War.
(In super robot war, you need to select what action to perform first before you're transferred or displayed with a cutscene of your robot attacking the opponent)

9. The skills of each robot is able to be purchased in the shop. And unlike Super Robot War, the skills consist of those elements which is quite common in most RPG game: Water, Fire, Wood, Light, Dark, Ice etc etc. All these skill has different level which you can purchase in the shop. Different level has different attack power and effect

10. The combat system consist of normal hit, "dual combo" and skills. Skills is like mentioned in no9. The dual combo is like you called an allied robot an perform a "combo" hit on the opponent, it is a fancy version of normal hit + skill. With 2 robot performing it on the opponent instead of 1.

11. If I remember correctly, there is 1 stage that the whole map is dark and you can't see any opponent. You can just see the map which is few yard or near you. If not mistaken, in this stage the main character robot has changed in this stage, from Yellow to a new unit with White color.

12. There is also one stage which you need to destroy all the opponent robot in your turn, if not you can't win the stage. The opponent will keep on respawning.

13. During the last few stages, there is one stage which you need to complete the stage in X turn, if not you lose.

I'm really sorry for the lack of information. I had been finding the game or its name for ages, still no clue on it. Hope someone can help me out a little bit by suggesting some possible game or name.
I suspected the game could be something like Warlock or Warlord, but google didn't save me on this
Please let me know if I posted it in the wrong section.

Edit : I played it on PC, maybe that time is using emulator but I'm not sure. I'm a primary school student so couldn't care less during that time. Sorry about that.

Edit 2: Just suggest any name which you think is the game. PS1 or PS2 or PC is fine, just suggest me any disregard the platform. PS3 onward is not possible as during that time it haven't release

Question about Pairing 2 diff clockspeed RAM

I'm a tech newbie, so there is a lot of stuff I'm not aware and know of, so please bear with me
As topic mentioned, I'm planning to reuse my old laptop RAM (4gb) on my new laptop (8gb) so the end result will be 12gb ram. But I'm unsure whether it is doable and encourage-able or not

Is it possible to pair a 4gb 1066mhz DDR3L ram with a 8gb 1600mhz DDR3L ram ?
I had read on the net that some mentioned the 8gb 1600mhz ram will be downclocked to 1066mhz, is it correct ?

So is it good to do a pairing like this and will it affect performance and hardware ?

Also, is it possible to pair a DDR3 ram with DDR3L ram ?

Hey guys,

I'm considering to get a WIRED gaming mouse.. cause I had a bad experience with wireless mouse before (need to keep replace new battery)
My budget is very tight so I think I don't have much options.
The requirement is that:

1. durable
2. any material except plain plastic (can be a combination of plastic + other material like rubber etc)
3. able to adjust DPI
4. have some gaming shortcut button which is set-able (if possible)

Hope any sifu here can suggest me some affordable gaming mouse..
