New Scam on Mudah & Lazada

Nowadays there are sellers scamming buyers with unbelievably cheap priced gadgets. Normally I would expect a lot of scammers in Mudah but these days they are also in Lazada.com, and its sad to know Lazada does not do any screening before allowing these sellers post. There are no way for us to report these scam articles too

1. First they will advertise on Mudah / Lazada with very cheap gadget, usually half the market price
2. Second, they will insist Buyer to bank-in money. For those post in Lazada, they will ask you not to use Lazada, and contact them through Whatsapp first.
3. Once you banked in, they will ask for more money.
Beware!!! One of the scammers I come in contact with is with the name Kumar Ramakrishnan, Maybank acc 101012057256 (refer to screenshot)

Note: I didn't bank in money to the seller, just photoshopped the receipt.

How not to attract Property Agent?

I'm trying to sell my condo in sites such as lowyat, propwall, mudah, etc.
Within 1 day I put up my own advert for listing, more than 10 agents call me asking for details, how low can i go etc etc. There is even an agent who brought client to come to view my unit the same day, and told me will bring another client few days later.

Normally these agents will try to squeeze their agent fees from my published price, which let me eating peanut at the end of day.

Worse is, these agents will just copy & paste my ad-text 100%, copy the picture, but I'm the one who spent whole night figuring out how to best attract buyer!!!!

Are there ways I can avoid these agents, put up my ad, and let only interested buyer call me??? Now I have pulled out almost all my ads.

Impian Heights - Puchong

Dear forumers,
I recently went to see a unit in Impian Heights, 1200 sq ft selling for just 170k, high floor, good view, freehold, owner just renovated the unit, and very well furnished. Unit is not facing the highway and therefore is not noisy.
However, the place is a bit run down at over 10 years.
Surrounding area such as Koi Kinrara, Atmosphere which is located further inside are selling at almost double the price at 340k for similar sq ft. Even though its new, the new development are really out of my budget. And this area is very near to IOI mall and I can access Kesas highway quite easily too. For me, I use Kesas everyday, so the jam on LDP does not bother me yet.
Can anyone give your comment on the area?

Overclocking GPU on Dell Inspiron

Not sure if most of you know this, but we can easily overclock the Dell Inspiron 1420, 1520, 1720 or Vostro that has NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS or 8600GT.

There are posts saying that 8400GS can be overclocked to reach the same performance as 8600GT and 8600GT can be overclocked much higher.

1. Download the Forceware(GeForce Device Driver) 15x.xx from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista . Most of the drivers with version 16x.xx does not allow overclock, which happens to me. The one I'm using is v158.36 http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index....showtopic=13774

2. Download the modded INF file. In my case, I'm using

3. Extract the Forceware .exe file. Copy the modded INF file into the same folder. Run setup. The setup should uninstall your current graphics driver, reboot windows, reinstall the graphics drivers & reboot windows again. You might need to readjust the screen resolution after finish installation.

4. Download nTune software from NVIDIA webpage. http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.47.00.html

5. Launch nTune software, goto Performance icon->Accept End User License Agreement & click on Agree before you can start to overclock your GPU. After you accepted, Performance adjustment menu will appear and you can change your CPU & Memory speed of your graphics card.

Alternatively, we can also use Riva Tuner from www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ instead of nTune, but I've not tried it. Will test it out in a while.

I have changed my 8400GS on my Dell Inspiron 1420 to CPU Speed 400/500 (CPU/Memory Speed in MHz) to 550/750. I have successfully increased the WEI on my Inspiron 1420 from 3.7 to 4.3. However, I'm still not sure if the GPU will overheat. Will post more screenshots & temperature information & the stability up to where we can overclock without messing up the system.

[UPDATE]
Test 1 - Temperature & Stability
- launched NVMonitor to monitor the GPU temperature & CPU Load.
- Then, I started Performance Stability Test (test will load the graphics card & CPU) for 10 minutes to monitor the CPU usage & the GPU Temperature. Test is then repeated after overclocking to 580/840.
Result:
At Factory setting 400/500, the average temperature is 84 C, peaking at 89 C.

After overclocking to 580/840, the average temperature is 88 C peaking at 93 C.

Conclusion: Whole system can run normally with out any crashes after overclocking to 580/840 but at 5 degrees C higher than normal. The GPU should be able to go up to >100C, since in NVMonitor, the default alarm is set to 145C. Therefore, the additional 5 C should not be a problem.

Test 2 - WEI
Using Dell CD's driver - WEI 3.7 (Limiting component is Graphics)

Using Latest Forceware at factory setting 400/500 - WEI 4.3

At factory setting 400/500, 3dMark05 score is 3087

Dell Laptop Delivery Date & Delays!

I have ordered a dell Inspiron 1420 during Dell Roadshow & the sales person tells me that I should be able to get the unit in around 1 week to 10 days. OK, even if it's 10 working days, it's 2 weeks.

When I first logged into the order status since Monday, it states 23rd July, then this morning when I opened the status again, it's been changed to 3rd August!!!

Who knows they simply change the status another time!!! So, next time for all those who wants to buy dell, Please be prepared to wait for 1 month!!! If you urgently need the laptop like myself within 1-2 weeks, please, forget about dell.

And if you think you can get a laptop within 1 month if you buy in PC Fair, forget about it!

Get a Compaq or HP which you can get the unit immediately when u placed pay.

13 July - Paid with credit card
16 July (3 days later) - Only today my order was placed
23 July (10 days later) - First Estimated Delivery Date - DELAYED
3 August (21 days later) - 2nd Estimated Delivery Date - who knows they simply delay it again

Firefox 2.0.0.3 Bookmark Bug

I have updated to Firefox 2.0.0.3 recently and found got problem with my bookmarks. When saving bookmarks, the pages will be saved without title (blank) and a few other bookmark bugs.

Does anyone with that version experience the same problem? I'm not sure it's the version problem or just my computer.
