settle home loan or use fund for investment

Currently engaged with a Flexi-loan. 4.45% interest rate, no more lock in period.

Thinking whether I should fully settle the loan or reduce the loan to a lower amount (say down to 400K) then use the left over money on FD or other investment.

Fully settlement will free us from all the interest. But knock down the loan will give us more options and flexibility. Bank charge RM10 per month to maintain the account. Other option is after knock down the loan then park money in.. will reduce the interest too... But the other thing is, I have no idea what else to invest other than FD which gives maybe 4% interest rate.

Any Sifus can advice?

Hi all,

I’m doing some research on the domain and email hosting thing.

Would like to set up a company email address, ending .com.my. Understand we need to register a domain, then according to the usage, sign up for 20GB/30GB/50GB package.

I’ve used 1host.my previously, for the same situation in the year 2010-2013. Had not encountered any problem. But I’m not sure whether they still in operation nowadays.

Checked exabytes on their packages, seems that they are more expensive.. we just need the email address function, not hosting a website.

Google also offer this kind of service for small business, something call G suite.. but seems like they charge per user.. around USD5 per user per month.

Can someone share with me any recommendations or way of setting up email hosting? Is hosting by google more secure? What’s the pros and cons?

Hi all sifu,

I'm seeking for help!!

The story begins like this.. my computer was using the kapersky, and the license is about to expiry. Got a recommendation that Norton will not slow down the comp that much compared with kapersky, so thought of giving it a try.

What i suppose to do is ->uninstall the kapersky -> then install the norton.

But when i uninstall the kapersky, it asked for a reboot, then that's something gone wrong. The computer can't get into the login page, but goes into a blue screen and black screen.. and then have a choice of starting the computer in safe mode/normal mode. If i choose the normal mode, the whole thing repeat again... the only way is to choose the safe mode ... and restore the window using the system restore.

Tried the kapersky removal tool, but still cannot work. Even tried to download the kapersky again and install... the same thing happen again... so now i cannot install any anti virus into my computer.

Can anyone offer help?? thanks in advance!
