Hello.

I'm planning to get a car soon. Due to troubles of getting a car loan, I'll be getting a car by cash.

Budget below 10k.

I'm opting for a used proton perdana V6 (alfadana version).

Gearbox
I've read that the gearbox is problematic in the pre facelift version. What about the alfadana one? Also read that, the facelifted version has an ATF cooler to solve the problem. So it should be ok right?

Maintenance
It's no surprise that the V6 engine will cost most to maintain. But how much more exactly? Service intervals at every 5k? Fully syn only? Timing belt? Spark plugs? Etc

Fuel consumption
Before someone says that I should look for other cars if I wanna save fuel, or something like "aiya fc depends on right foot one la", hold your horses. The stats in fuelly.com is too subjective. I've been driving a proton saga at about 8-10km/l, so perdana could be at the same figures?

I hope some (current or ex) perdana users or v-sixers members to give some thoughts. Thank you

How to save money during lunch and dinner break

So I'll be taking up a job which requires me to have 2 meals outside. I was doing my budgeting and I allocated rm20 per day for food(not per meal, mind you) which I still think is kinda high. I thought of eating bread for lunch, and for dinner only I eat something fancier.

I'm quite a build guy. And I don't wanna lose muscle mass or weight.

I expect trolls but hopefully some can give me concrete ideas.
