Motherboard without Processor

Hye all, I had bought a new motherboard Asrock H97 Pro4 and Hyperfury X Ram 4gb.
A second hand PSU and a new casing.

So, i want to test the motherboard whether it is working or not. Other than that, I also want to test the casing whether the Power and Rest button is fine or not
So, i install the motherboard onto the casing, I put the Ram and all the power required. As i press the power button at the casing, NOTHING happen. Its like nothing, the fan not spinning,
the PSU fan not spinning, the LED not lighting. It just NOTHING.

Guys, please do advice me, whether the motherboard will working without the processor. I know this might be a silly question to some of you, but I am totally lost.
