Firewall or spyware

hello guys,
need help again..my gf facing problem with her internet conection..she has a pc and a laptop..the weird things is she could surf from her pc using direct conection from the modem..it is very slow..she called already isp technical support and they claimed that her internet is doing fine..and that guy claimed that her pc might have firewall enable..she already check and disable window firewall and still slow the internet..maybe there is another firewall on in her pc..how do I find if there is another firrewall on?FYI she used ares to download movie..do you think guys some spywares have come in to her pc and made her pc slow?help me mate

grafic problem(acer travelmate 230)

hello guys,
due to my hdd faulty last nite, this morning i went to lowyat and bought a new hdd..already installed on my laptop..the thing is when i installed windows xp and driver using acer recovery cd..the resoultion of the screen is not that good like previous one..my laptop is acer travelmate230..guys could you help me how to get back like previous resolution color..I think the driver for grafic card is not exacly the same one..I think i have problem with grafic driver..

laptop hardisk crashed

hello guys,
I have got trouble with my laptop hardisk this evening..the system was crashed..then I took out thid hdd make it external n try to run from my pc..useless the hdd couldnt be detected..I tried to run tru dos to view listing file and i could see those files are there..but then when i tried to run that hdd from my pcc it could be detected again..I am going to buy a new hdd tomorow..my problem is i will lost all my data in that hdd.. do you guys have any ideas how do i recover those data..can those software help me even my hdd could be detected?or do i have to send to those service recovery centre which might be very expensive! hope that you guys can share ideas with me..

DVD and CDRW notebook not working

I am a new comer here..happy if u guys can assist me..I have problem my my notebook acer travelmate which was bought last 2 years. my internal dvd combo could not be detected by window..there is no dvd or cdrw combo in my computer..do u know guys how to setel it?if my internal dvd combo broken,can I replace it with internal dvd combo too,is it possible,how much is the estimated price for the replacement?i rather choose internal dvd combo than external one..
