Dyson V12 Vacuum Problem

Hi folks,

just wanted to share my experience—I'd recommend avoiding the Dyson V12.

I've been dealing with an issue where it powers off intermittently. After looking it up online, I discovered this is a common problem with the V12.

Here’s an update on my situation: I sent my Dyson V12 to the Service Center in TTDI last Saturday.

Yesterday, I followed up with Dyson to ask when I could expect it back, and to my shock, they said 2025!

Seriously, for a product with such a premium price tag, this level of service is unacceptable.

Does anyone know where I can escalate this issue?

How to detect incoming water leaking for landed?

Recently, my water bill unexpectedly increased from the usual RM10 per month to RM30 per month, despite no changes in my water usage.

This makes me suspect there might be a leak in one of the water pipes in the house. I searched the entire house for water marks but couldn’t find any visible signs of leakage.

As a temporary measure, I’ve been turning off the main water valve when leaving for work during the day and turning it back on when I return home. However, I’ve noticed that when I turn the water back on, the kitchen tap releases a lot of air before the water flows normally.

Could this indicate a leak in the incoming water pipe buried underground? What’s the best way to detect and pinpoint the location for repairs?

Digital cable TV startup ABNxcess just announced that it’ll soon be offering Malaysia the most affordable high-speed broadband internet service catering towards home users.

The packages that will be available are 10 Mbps for RM129/month, 30 Mbps for RM219, and get this, 50 Mbps for RM369.

For comparison, Maxis Fiber and TM UniFi’s 10 Mbps packages are at RM148 and 199 per month respectively. TIME Fiber has 8 and 15 Mbps packages at RM129 and RM179 per month respectively.

Moving on to the mid-tier, Maxis and TIME’s 30 Mbps packages are at RM248 and RM259 per month individually. TM doesn’t even have an equivalent with its 20 Mbps package going for RM249 per month. UniFi BIZ 30 Mbps is at RM599.

The highest 50 Mbps tier, TIME’s package is at RM399 per month. Both Maxis Fiber and TM UniFi ‘VIP for home’ are capped at 20 Mbps, and though TM’s BIZ packages do include a 50 Mbps plan, but it’s at a whopping RM899. Maxis Business Fiber’s highest plan is at 32 Mbps, but that’s at RM488 per month and both are definitely not suitable for home users.

ABNxcess’ announcement is still very vague at this point with no official statement issued, nor was its site updated with this information. Given the fact how the buzz term ‘high speed broadband’ is being thrown around by TM and other ISPs currently when marketing their fiber services, it should be safe to speculate that ABNxcess’ internet service will be on fiber as well.

If that’s the case, according to Paul Tan, folks setting up fiber to the home (FTTH) infrastructure could set the speed to whatever they so choose, which means that the 50 Mbps plan may not be available for high-rise residences that’s connected through a ‘very-high-bit-rate digital subscriber line’ (VDSL).

And then there’s the question of coverage area. Even long-time player TIME couldn’t get much coverage area for its fiber service, and it’ll be interesting to follow how this pans out for ABNxcess.

ABNxcess is established in June 2012, according to its Facebook Page here. Its official site is at http://www.abnxcess.com/. The company’s currently offering a cable TV service with channels like iConcerts, Al Jazeera and Australia Network. Would you get the 50 Mbps package for RM369 per month?

How to setup HyppTV for surround sound?

Hi folks,

Do you guy know how to setup HyppTV for surround sound? I mean like selecting the audio setting to 5.1 dolby digital or etc.

Currently I'm using pioneer AVR (VSX-822-K) and it auto detect the decode format everytime when i play DTS or dolby digital movie via my laptop but for HyppTV Box to view HD channel and VOD HD movie, it doesn't change to any format.

I'm google it high and low but no result.

Izzit HyppTV not supporting surround sound?
