A certificate for gce-o 1119?

Hello. I'm a spm leaver of yr 2012. I got my spm slip last march and my actual spm certificate last December. I was told that we will get a certificate for gce-o 1119 ( as printed on the bottom right of spm slip) and the waiting time is usually longer than the release of spm certificate but that was a few years back. However, some of my friends told me that we are not getting this anymore. I don't really need that cert but I want to make sure that I have collected every cert issued to me. Can anyone answer my question. Thank you very much!

Hi guys! Can anybody tell me what is the differences between a DVD drive built in the notebook and a DVD writer connected to notebook via USB port? I read through the pack of a Samsung DVD writer in a pc shop and it stated that it can be used to burn DVD. Is it only used for writing and burning DVD only? Does a DVD writer has other functions likwaylaying DVD and CD?

Sunway college JB, good or not?

Hi guys. I would like to study a levels in sunway jb starting from this July. Previously I have registered in kl campus but since it is now available for bursary students, I might as well transfer back here. But before I proceed with the admission process, there are a few doubts in my mind that I hope would be clarified by LYNer here. Due to its smaller students body as compared to the main campus, there are not much information I could find in the Internet.

1. How is the quality of lecturers in sunway jb?
2. How is the results and overall performance of a levels students in sunway jb?
3. Is it overcrowded since it has a smaller campus?
4. Heard that the Internet speed there is quite slow, is that so?
5. How is Sunway College Residence?
6. Is there any supermarket and hawker center within walking distance? Is it convenient to get daily necessities from the college?
7. How is the public transportation system?

Hope that current students or alumni of sunway Jb here could shed some light on me.

Hey guys. I'm gonna start my a levels soon and I have given my Casio 570 MS to my brother so I definitely have to get myself a new one. What is the recommended model for a levels? Casio 570 MS? 570 ES? 991 ES? Btw I am taking maths and triple sciences.

Haha...Soon we are going to make our final decision regarding the choice of programme or institutions. Let's see what you guys are going to do. As for me, I will opt for A levels in Taylor's or Sunway. But if I eventually get a place in asasi, I won't hesitate to enrol the programme.

Distance between two colleges

I know this seems to be a stupid question, but seriously I can't find the answer to this question in the Internet: What is the distance between Taylor's College Subang Jaya and Sri hartamas? Is there any affordable eating place nearby Taylor's college Sri hartamas? Is there any buses that take us out from Sri hartamas?

Need help from a-level senior

Well, since I want to enter Taylor's for a-level programme, I have choices to do 1.5yr or 2 yrs programmes starting from this July. As far as I know, 2yrs is certainly much easier than 1.5yrs programme, where you have six more months to prepare for your a2 exam. But if I opt for 2yrs programme, my course will end at July 2015. If I want to apply for uk universities, I have to apply using as trial results, is it? If I end my course at dec 2014, i've to apply for Aussie universities using which result? Cos' Aussie school term starts at feb,right? If I want to sit for SAT, when is the best time to do so? Sorry for asking too many questions but I'm totally puzzled now.

Fellow spm leavers, if your are in my shoes, you will choose 1.5yr or 2yrs?
Dear seniors, when did you end your course? Dec or jul? How did it affect your university applications? Apply with a-level trial results or actual results give you higher chance to gain admission?

Hehe... Anyway, I'm going to study Cambridge A- Level in Taylor's College in this coming July *Psyched*
But given the fact that I never stay in Subang Jaya/Sri Hartamas before and none of my friends is going there too, I'm quite worry that I might find it difficult to adapt myself to the local lifestyle , eg.:language. From what I've observed during a few trips to there, most chinese there dont speak mandarin chinese. You know, I'm a Johorean so most of the time I speak mandarin ang English with my family and friends, but not Cantonese or any other dialects(thanks to the Sg govt for advertising campaigns like大家讲华语/ 华语酷 etc. == on their tv channels, i barely watch any M'sia produced drama so I don't know many msia artists either ) So I think it would be better for me to make a few friends before heading to Taylor's

Anyone's going there too?!?! Mind to tell me you're coming from which state??
