Or does we need to jail break it?
*I know US iphone will lock their phone to their service provider.. but not Malaysia right?

Belkin 54G Router can't connect

Here's the story. My belkin 54G was working few years now. Just hours ago, I try to connect my iphone 3GS with belkin wifi. I go to the 192.168.2.1 (on my laptop - wifi), MAC address filtering and enable it. After insert my iphone 3gs ip address i press OK.

Here's the nightmare begin, after minutes. My internet connection is not working both on my laptop (wifi working but not internet) and the PC facing problem on internet connection. i try login again 192.168.2.1, hoping can restore it but it fail to load the page.

Anyone have any idea how to restore it?

Below is the screenshot of what I did.
1. my ipconfig show new IP address, 169.254.242.229. i try using this address to access but fail to load.

2. ping 192.168.2.1 but unreachable.

3. detail of my network connection details.

4. set my TCP/IP properties

5. ipconfig manage to change it and ping working now.

6. to my disappointment, 192.168.2.1 still not working. can't enter it's web interface.

External Flash Battery

Hi ALL,

Currently I using a Di466 external flash for my LX3. Battery I currently using is alkaline type. I checked on the CD manual come with it, it say can use lithium battery as well.
I temp to using it cause my flashlight using lithium as well, so if I happen to travel, I don't have to bring alkaline charger & lithium charger as well

1. Will lithium battery damage the camera external flash?
2. Will lithium battery damage the camera when mount on it (I using LX3)?
3. My flash won't explode right?

Need opinion before use it.

Ok, this weekend got PC Fair. I'm actually thinking of buying a micro SD with SD adaptor and use it on my Canon IXUS 860IS (use SD card as memory). I need advise on what model/grade of micro SD should I buy so the quality won't be affected. I was worry of the speed of micro SD will affect while capturing video or large image.

*Reason I wanna buy micro SD so that I can use it on my PDA and at the same time use for my camera if it ever run out of memory. Haha.

Currently I using a DSL-504T modem with Streamyx 1.0Mbps package connected 2 desktop PC. I myself also got a Dell Laptop with Dell™ Wireless 1395 802.11g 54Mbps Wireless Mini Card and HTC P3600i with Wi-Fi 802.11b/g. So I'm thinking of buying a wireless modem so I can online anywhere i like (inside my home of coz). Now Penang having a PC Fair, so i need advise from lowyat members.

I use torrent most of the time and I leave my old reliable DSL-504T on 24 hours fro downloading. My old DSL-504T will let me reconnect through web base so I don't have to manually unplug the cable. I guess now most of the modem have such function too.

I want something not expensive but reliable. Here's the list of the price of some of the model in the PC Fair:
DLink:
DIR-300 (54Mbps): RM115
DIR-615 (300Mbps): RM275

Buffalo:
WBMR-54 (54Mbps): RM178
WBMR-125 (125Mbps) RM275

Linksys look kinda expensive. But if u have any recommend model for linksys do let me know. I'll look into it tomorrow. Also, if got any brand/model I did not list... do tell me. I'll check it again tomorrow.

*Got 2 desktop PC (no Wifi), a laptop with Wifi & a PDA with Wifi as well.
