Hey guys, so I've been thinking to post this for quite awhile about customers going to buy a laptop at any physical retailers. Not even sure if this is helpful or the right section though as I used to work in a retail store selling IT products, I noticed a lot of customers are ignorant about it so maybe this can help you (and also give me some relief). All the info is just what I've observed in the store I was working at, so don't sue me ah I no money

When you walk into the store, check out their selection of laptops such as brands and models. High chance the staff will approach you and ask if you need help. You can choose to either tell the staff that you're just looking or straight ask them questions, up to you. But if you ignore us and then call us over later, the attitude will tend to be a bit sour. Be nice to us, we will serve you like king/queen. Be mean, then sorry la no mood serve you dy. We have feelings too

Job Seeking questions

Not sure if this is the right subforum to post this, sorry if I post in wrong one

I've been jobless for about almost 4 months now (it was rather a rash resignation as I cannot tahan my previous company anymore) and have been looking for a job but have been unsuccessful.

What I want to know is I've heard a lot of companies will ask for the latest 3 months payslip but some tell me that it is not a requirement as it's P&C and the fact that I've been jobless for so long deems it unnecessary. I'm worried about this because I've actually lost my latest pay slip

And how does one know that the employer is suspicious or a sham? Any tips?

Details :

- Studying Diploma in Hospitality in KDU College (DJ branch)
- Lecturer decides to have a class trip/assignment to Sabah for 4D3N costing RM1.3k
- Discussed with family about it, they say no money to fund the trip
- Discussed with lecturer about it, she says if you're not going, you [B]must do a 30 page report with 8 references and an individual presentation. Isn't this considered a threat or blackmail already?

Is this even allowed? It's no different from paying another person to do the assignment..

Who can I talk to in the college? The principal?

This lecturer is apparently the "unofficial boss" of KDU with a Datin title like some big shot..

Please help with serious answers.. Even if I work there's no way my salary can be enough to cover the trip due to the hectic schedule..

Today I checked my bank account and I noticed PTPTN already bank in the loan to me (RM3964).

What I don't understand is that why is there excess money since they said will "reimburse what you paid for in the 1st sem"

Today as I was walking back home, this ji*ai driver purposely attempted to hit me with his car when he wanted to turn in to a junction

I did the "What the fck bro? " hand gestures and continued walking. Few seconds later the same idiot stop next to me wind down his window and asked me in broken English "why? Why you do the <hand gesture> ?". I replied to him "Nothing la, surprised only bro". He sped off and I flipped him my middle finger

(Not that I'm scared to fight with him as I always carry water pipe pliers in my bag, I feel very dizzy at that point)

What would you do in these type of situations? Would you apologize, ignore or on the spot fight?

Normal to feel blank?

Dear /k, is it normal to just wake up everyday, go college sit through classes come home and just feel blank?

Really just sleep eat study eat sleep study then browse /k/ before sleep everyday and night .. I don't really mix well with my course mates cuz.. I can't speak cina that well due to my England style upbringing

How was your college/uni life like?

I poor fag, skinny, introverted (can tokok like master if I choose to open up though..), face problem and no gf

I have nice nice 3 credits but the PTPTN website isn't helping much (Me no understand well what they saying)

How to get over a girl

I don't want to type long long la so I just state out the important ones...

I met her in tuition when I was in Form 5 (2012) and now I waiting for SPM results. 1st time I see her she smile sweetly to me and that is the day I fall liao. The problem is that I have no way of knowing her. She is the popular type while I'm the lame type of guy who like to tokok only..

After 1 year I still think of her daily and it very kacau my mind. I want to get over her also very hard.. I only know how she look like, her age (same as me) and which college she go to..

Any advice how to get over her? I very little female friends but many guy friends...

Hi all, let me intro myself a bit ar.. I'm 18 years old this year and a frequent smoker (support Dunhill), about 4-8 stick a day depending on occasion. This is my 1st post in Lowyat though I do frequent here to read the post so don't flame at noob please hehe

Um.. I have a slight health concern. The problem is that I have these red bumps at the back of my throat but it doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort at all. It's like.. It's just there. Since young I have constant ulcers (99% of it is cause I accident bite)..

I now very sked I got throat cancer

Anyway, my tonsils back side there got a "hole" cuz last time a chicken bone stuck sideways there when I 12 years old when accident swallow. Most prominent is right side.

Summary / Further Info :

- Frequent smoker, about a pack a week
- Started around Form 5 (2012)
- 18yrs old this year
- Back of throat got small red bumps (not sure if pic can see)
- No pain, no feel, nothing
- Back of tonsils sides got "holes" due to bone stuck. Sometime got ulcers INSIDE the lubang but salt water can heal it.

So any information or advice is good.. And yes, I'll quit smoking soon.. Bo lui to continue habit
