Tous Les Jours Debuts In Malaysia With Two Outlets At Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Velocity

PETALING JAYA, June 4 (Bernama) -- Popular Korean-French bakery café chain Tous Les Jours has officially landed in Malaysia with not one, but two flagship outlets – marking its highly anticipated return to the local food scene.

The first outlet opened its doors today at Sunway Pyramid, with another set to launch at Sunway Velocity on June 14, making them the brand’s first stores in Malaysia under a new master franchise agreement signed in January 2025.

“This is a proud moment for us – not one but two Tous Les Jours havens now open to Malaysian fans of fresh, high-quality baked delights,” said Jaclyn Tan, Chief Marketing Officer of Stream Empire Holdings, during the launch event at Sunway Pyramid today.

"The Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2025 will take place in the Kuala Lumpur city centre, with the exact starting venue yet to be announced. However, the race will finish at the iconic and historical Stadium Merdeka. First, Willow can reduce errors exponentially as quantum processors scale up using more qubits. This cracks a key challenge in quantum error correction that the field has pursued for almost 30 years.

Second, Willow performed a standard benchmark computation in under five minutes that would take one of today’s most powerful supercomputers 10 septillion years! That is 10^25 or 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years — a number that vastly exceeds the age of the universe.

With these and other breakthroughs, the Willow chip is a major step toward building a useful, large-scale quantum computer that could harness quantum mechanics by advancing scientific discovery and tackling some of society's greatest challenges.

PUTRAJAYA: The Inland Revenue Board has identified several individuals and companies engaged in cryptocurrency trading to curb tax revenue leakage and enhance national tax administration.

Its chief executive officer, Datuk Dr Abu Tariq Jamaluddin, said the high frequency of cryptocurrency trading transactions had prompted the revenue board to review data for potential tax implications.

"We understand that if there are a lot of transactions, profits from cryptocurrency trading are taxable.

"Individuals engaged in high-volume transactions are not reporting these activities to us," he told reporters after presenting certificates to participants of the Tax Corporate Governance (TCG) Programme on Wednesday (June 19).

Recently, LHDN launched Ops Token in collaboration with the police and CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM) to combat tax revenue leakage in cryptocurrency trading. The initiative covers 10 locations across the Klang Valley.

Abu Tariq emphasised that individuals engaged in cryptocurrency trading in Malaysia are liable for income tax, and those needing clarification on tax matters can reach out to the revenue board or access the guidelines here: https://phl.hasil.gov.my/pdf/pdfam/GP_LAYAN...ANG_DIGITAL.pdf.

Earlier in his speech, Abu Tariq said, "Through TCG, organisations can deepen their comprehension of tax regulations related to business activities and fortify their internal systems for sustained tax compliance.”

The revenue board introduced TCG on March 1, 2022, to bolster voluntary compliance efforts and emphasise cooperation between taxpayers and the board as the national tax authority.

The program was launched in two phases: a pilot project running from June 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024, followed by full implementation starting July 1 this year. – Bernama
