Any opinion on TCL or Hisense TV in Malaysia

Hi, recently my 3++ years old TV broken and went out shopping for a new TV. As usual i did some googling around and found that TCL and Hisense TV are making quite some noise in those reviewers website. As I believed that testing with my own eye is the best way, I went out for shopping for the last whole week while bringing my favorite kpop as testing material... After testing different TV at different places... Samsung Q75 seem to be having the best picture quality in my eye while Sony seem to be having better speaker but their normal LCD Tv X8500G seem fall short on picture quality.

Here come the question, the Hisense TV that i tested seem mediocre and it seem they didn't bring in those good reviewed model to Malaysia. So are we just to stick to brand like Samsung, Sony, Panasonice and LG for now?

I didn't get to test out any TCL TV (anyone knew where to find some demo TCL TV to test?)

1) Samsung Q75
2) Panasonic GX800

I forgot to update here, I already went with Samsung during the weekend.

Anyway just my personal opinion on the new TV, when comparing with my few years old TV by memory cause no side by side comparison can be done XD, the new TV seem to be just slightly brighter, slightly more vivid, dont really feel any stark differences.. The sound seem to be more noisy, well the 3D function is not available anymore... But the new remote look and feel nice with the gimmick Bixby...

Anyway OLED is quite vivid with slightly less brightness but this TV is mainly for plugging in my HTPC for personal usage which will have high amount of time i will left it on with the desktop screen...

At the start I was just wondering is it my eye problem or those demo TV are badly setup cause they are really mediocre.
However after googling, I found huge differences between our models and US models even on paper...

Power Bank For Samsung Note 2

Hi, currently i own a genuine Sony 1A power bank and also a genuine Yoobao 1A power bank.

But these power banks are unable to increase the battery level of a Samsung note 2 smartphone when i am playing games and turning on the data plan at the same time. They are only able to reduce the battery level to drop slower.

I heard some said that buying a higher Ampere power bank can help. But one of my friend said that he bought a china made 2A power bank also cant increase the battery level of Samsung note 2 during gaming and data plan on.

So, my question is: Any Samsung note 2 user can recommend me a power bank that able to increase the battery level when I am playing games on the phone and having data plan turn on at the same time?

hi, will be building a PC jz for downloading and entertainment (movies,musics,google,forum). No gaming. No video encoding.

So jz wondering any tried out the different between radeon 7850 / nvidia gtx 650 ti boost for rendering movies? the rough build of the rig will be something like:

CPU: i7 4770
RAM: 16/32gb g.skill ripjaws
MB: gigabyte h87-d3h

* Anyone tried these 2 GC with the following settings:
i) madvr both upscaling algorithm set at Jinc, 8 taps with anti-ringing and linear light on?
ii) any problem with YADIF deinterlacing on?
iii) any problem with avisynth?

For nvidia card user, do u prefer using cuvid or dxva (native)?

Digi "Virus" 36982

After receiving the balance notification message from Digi after making a phone call, i notice that my balance doesn't seem to be right. Then, i call up Digi helpline (016-2211800) to get more information. The Digi operator is very helpful and friendly, he pointed out that there is a deduct of RM 5 from my balance on 1st May from a number 36982. Then, i told him that i did not subscribe to anything at all. He gave me the company name (Cloud Net Sdn. Bhd.) and telephone no (03-77101899) and said that i need to call them to get more information. After that, i tried calling the number few times and never been answer (around 11am). Then, i call back to Digi helpline to get more information. These are few of the highlighted Q&A from the second conversation.

Q: Why can the number 36982 straight away deduct my balance without any confirmation message being sent to me? And there is no notification message at all to notify me that my balance been deducted.
A: This number is like a "virus" and we can't doing anything about it from our side.

Q: Then you mean that it's a fault on your system? Which mean that you should return my deducted credit back to me?
A: No, we can't give your credit back to you. You can only get it back from the company of the number 36982.

Then, i plan to further report this to the consumer right and police. Therefore, i told him that i would like them to prepare a report for me to proceed. He told me that he will pass it to the technical department and they will follow up. So, now i will just have to wait for Digi to call me back.

I started this post just to let more prepaid user try to be aware of your credit balance. Your credit balance can be deducted without you even knowing it. Because you don't get any message at all that notify you.

UPDATE:

many seem to think this is still the same as sms fraud. BUT THIS IS NOT. this is something like the evolution of the donation fraud that been standing in front of shopping complex and bank and so on. they get small amount money from many people and earning like a boss. that is the case now, they randomly deduct small amount of money from your balance WITHOUT ANY SMS AT ALL. And most of the users will not notice, or even if they do notice, they will just think "Aiya, just small amount of money" and didn't take any action at all. But we need to take action, if not you are just giving away your hard earn money.

UPDATE: (7 May)

finally get a reply from Cloud Net company, and they stated that their system and digi system are having some error at the moment. and promise to look into my problem and will refund my RM5 if they verified it.

DAC or Sound Card Recommendation

Hi, i have an Edifier C3 speaker currently. I am planning to get a DAC or sound card to improve my musics experience.

Speaker: Edifier C3
Purpose: Musics, drama, movies (No gaming)
Surround: 5.1 or 7.1 NOT needed
Budget: Around RM 200

Well, wondering is there any recommendation that fits these criteria? Your opinion and recommendation is welcome

Disconnect & Reconnect Prob

hi, i am using streamyx 1mbps and usually i jz disconnect and reconnect my streamyx to get the ip range tat i wan. But today, i cant do tat anymore. Now, after i disconnect, i am stuck at WAN miniport connecting and stating tat my phone line is busy. I HAVE TO RESTART MY PC in order to reconnect. Seem like tm lock my pc to the ip they give and dun allow me to disconnect to get the ip range tat i wan anymore. I was wondering is any1 having the same prob?
