Hi guys. So i've been looking for a place to invest and i came across this called Private Mandate handled by Dato Dr Nazri Khan. Starting capital is 50k. But it seems like a bit suspicious to me, i mean it says that it registered with SC and endorsed by Berjaya Group, but it seems a bit sketchy. Anyone has any extra information on this? Would be nice if i can get someone that joined this before to know whether its legit or not.

Begitulah kisah seorang jurugambar Malaysia, Mohamad Anwar Mohd Yusli, 27, yang selamat mendirikan rumah tangga dengan model kelahiran Rusia, Anna Eltsova, 23, di Teluk Panglima Garang, Selangor pada Sabtu lalu.

Bercakap kepada mStar, pengantin lelaki yang mesra disapa Nuar mengakui bersyukur apabila perkenalan yang berputik pada tahun 2019 itu akhirnya membawa kepada penyatuan mereka secara sah sebagai suami isteri.

"Saya berkenalan dengan Anna pada Julai 2018 menerusi satu sesi photoshoot. Masa tu saya shoot dia untuk satu photoshoot pakaian.
"Dia pun memang full time model di Malaysia, dia dah datang sini dua tahun sebelum kami berkenalan.
"Mula-mula kenal, keluarga pun was-was. Tapi lama kelamaan, saya yakinkan keluarga. Sebab Anna ni lain dari yang lain.
"Bila lama kenal, dia boleh adapt dengan budaya kita. Saya nampak dia suka duduk sini. Kawan-kawan dan keluarga pun beri sokongan kepada kami," ujarnya.

Tambah Nuar yang juga seorang kontraktor, dia pertama kali membuat lamaran kepada wanita itu pada Februari tahun lalu.
Sepanjang bertunang, mereka turut melalui pelbagai cabaran, namun keikhlasan dalam perhubungan akhirnya menyatukan cinta antara dua negara itu.

"Saya melamar Anna sewaktu hari lahirnya pada Februari 2020. Saya bagi cincin tanda pertunangan, Alhamdulillah dapat saya harungi dugaan pertunangan dengan Anna.
"Memang agak mencabar, macam-macam lelaki datang kat dia. Tapi dia bukan mata duitan. Dia pandang keikhlasan saya dalam hubungan kami," ujarnya.

Menurut Nuar, komunikasi tidak menjadi masalah besar buat mereka memandangkan Anna yang pernah bersekolah di Amerika Syarikat (AS) dan boleh bertutur dalam bahasa Inggeris.
Malah, wanita itu juga kini semakin lancar bertutur dalam bahasa Melayu.

"Anna fasih berbahasa Inggeris, sebab dulu keluarga pernah hantar dia study di AS selama beberapa bulan.
"Dia juga sedang mendalami bahasa Melayu. Dia selalu tanya saya maksud perkataan yang tak difahami.
"Kalau saya berborak dengan sesiapa dalam bahasa Melayu, dia boleh je faham, bahasa Melayu sebenarnya lebih senang berbanding bahasa Rusia," ujarnya lagi.

Tambah Nuar, isterinya juga kini semakin terbiasa dengan hidangan pedas di negara ini dan sangat menyukai juadah seperti ikan bakar dan nasi lemak.
Dalam pada itu, video romantis menampilkan pasangan itu turut mencuri perhatian ramai sehingga menerima 1.5 juta tontonan di TikTok. Malah kata Nuar, dia bukan sahaja menerima ucapan tahniah dari Malaysia, malah turut dihujani komen-komen netizen Indonesia dan Singapura. "Dapat 1.5 juta tontonan dalam tempoh 24 jam. Saya memang terkejut, ramai yang ucap tahniah.

"Saya dengan Anna memang gembira dengan respon mereka semua. Sangat terharu dengan komen-komen netizen.
"Terima kasih doakan saya dan isteri, harap hubungan kami kekal ke jannah. Saya minta semua bagi sokongan moral.
"Kita jemput saudara Islam baharu kita, dia masih dalam proses belajar lagi," ujar Nuar.

Menurut jurugambar itu lagi, dia juga belum menetapkan tarikh resepsi memandangkan pandemik Covid-19 masih menular di negara ini.
Namun jauh di sudut hatinya, dia berharap wabak itu berakhir segera agar kehidupan dapat diteruskan seperti dahulu kala.

Japan to provide 100,000 yen handout

TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Finance Minister Taro Aso said Friday the government's 100,000 yen ($930) per person handout should be ready by next month, stressing that a quick response is crucial in softening the economic fallout from the coronavirus outbreak.

Some critics of the plan say that in a country of 126 million, the logistics of an across-the-board handout means it could take months to carry out.

Speaking at a regular press conference, Aso said that while everyone will be eligible to receive the 100,000 yen, they will still need to apply, unlike a similar scheme in 2009. The handout is expected to be provided to foreign residents as well as Japanese citizens.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced the move the previous day, after an earlier proposal to give 300,000 yen to households in need was criticized by the ruling coalition as insufficient.

The government had been aiming to gain the Diet's approval next week for a draft budget featuring the original plan, but will likely require another week to rework the spending plan.

"We believe speed is of the essence," Aso said. "(The change in plans) means more time will be necessary, but I think we should be aiming for May."

The plan has drawn comparisons to a 2009 scheme that Aso oversaw as prime minister, under which the government unilaterally handed out between 12,000 and 20,000 yen per person to prop up consumer spending in the wake of the global financial crisis.

However, it was widely seen as a failure as many Japanese simply put the cash into their savings.

Whats up with the crying sound?

So last weekend i go and watch movie, then during the commercial suddenly the screen become black and only got crying sound. It last for a while then it continue with the next advertisement.

Then today when i listen to radio, the crying sound comes again in between the ads.

Anyone encounter this as well? Is this some sort of teaser or what?

Own career vs Family

Hi guys, not sure is this a correct subforum to post but i guess it is since its related to my career.

So a little bit about my background, i'm working in IT sector for now and i would say i'm doing quite ok atm (age 29). So my plan is save up a certain amount of capital before slowly venture into a business, most likely IT business as well. i target it should be in 2,3 years from now.

the problem is, my father been pestering me to back to my hometown and continue/take over his construction project there. i've said to him that i dont really keen on doing that, but he keep on saying that if i didnt do it, whos gonna do it coz all my other siblings are pretty far apart in age from me. they are still young.

now i dont know how to reply to him, as i understands his point. but at the same time i dont feel like i want to do it. Its not that i hate construction business, i just dont like being "indebted" to him. what do you guys of this? maybe some of wiser member can give me some kind of ways on how to reply my father.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has been deemed the “forbidden land” by famous Facebook vlogger (video blogger) Nas Daily.

In his video entitled “The Forbidden Land!” posted on his Facebook page, Nas, whose real name is Nuseir Yassin, said he was not allowed to enter Malaysia because he owns an Israeli passport.

“The country you see behind me, is as hard for me to enter as North Korea. Because this is Malaysia,” he said, as he pointed to buildings believed to be in Tanjung Puteri, across the Straits of Johor.

“With my Israeli passport, it is almost impossible for me to enter their country and even more impossible for them to enter mine because of politics,” he said, adding that “Malaysia and Israel are not friends”.

Speaking in his one-minute video clip from Singapore, the Israeli-Palestinian who has been travelling full-time and making videos since 2016, said that he has made friends with several Malaysians in Singapore and learned about the country's food, culture and language.

Nas noted that this friendship with Malaysians “can only exist outside of Israel and Malaysia”.

Before ending with his iconic “That's one minute, see you tomorrow” tagline, Nas expressed hope of peace among governments.

“I am convinced that when governments make peace, we will meet inside of Malaysia, inside of Israel, and inside of Palestine. Inshallah.”

The video was viewed over 651,000 times and had 27,000 Likes five hours after it was posted on Thursday (Aug 30).

Facebook user Christine Gan said she was glad that Nas had finally featured Malaysia in his Facebook.

“I’m sure a lot of your Malaysian fans would love to have you here!” she wrote.

Grace K Dharmain wrote that she understood why Nas has not come to Malaysia until now. “There is (sic) so so many 1 minute stories to tell!"

Another Facebook user Fenny Masruri said that Indonesia does not accept Israeli passport holders either.

Malaysia does not officially recognise Israel, and Malaysian passports bear the inscription, “This passport is valid for all countries except Israel”.

Israeli passport holders are not permitted to enter the country without written permission from the Home Ministry.

However, the government allows Malaysian Christians to visit Israel up to 21 days for religious purposes.
