Resignation while in probation

After some advice, I started a new job on Monday and its really not worked out the way I'd expected and resigned yesterday.

Do I have to work out the notice period of one week which is in my contract or can I just walk as I'm still in my probation period?

Then if I was to walk, whats the worst they can do? Ie. If I walked today could the worse they do is not pay me for the past week?

acca v mba

I am accounting graduate and now working in an audit firm. My question is should I study for:-

1. acca, or
2. mba, or
3. acca then mba or vice versa.

I don't think that i am going to stay in audit forever, i just work as an auditor to get experience.

Hello guys! I need ur opinion on something regarding what job should i choose.

I am recently graduating in degree of accountancy. Currently i a seeking for jobs and have got an offer from few companies. 1st is as Finance Exec in a bank, salary RM1,800 on contract basis. 2nd is as an account assistant, permanent position, but basic is RM1500, but there will be inrement once a year and entitled for bonus and benefits which is not offered by the bank if work on contract.

My problem is which job should I choose?
1. in terms of money[U]
1st job sounds good bcoz of higher salary but in job 2nd there is high opportunity for career advancement and entitled for bonus and benefits which if add up will be much higher than 2nd job.

2. in terms of career advancement in accounting
Many of my friends & lecturer as well advice to go and work in an audit firm first. they say that i will gain more experience & exposure in accounting field. but working in audit firm pay so low. basic is rm 1,300 for audit assistant. My younger brother who doesn't even finish his diploma earn rm1,600 he just started work. But on the good side is, my friend recommended me to work in audit firm he's been working currently and the firm support its employee for pro qualification such as acca, cima, or cpa. if managed to finish the paper in three years only need to pay for 30% of the total cost. plus there is an allowance for those taking professional paper.

on conlusion which one should i choose?
1. higher salary but on contract basis and without benefits.
2. low salary but opportunity for increment and entitled for bonus and other benefits.
3. find job in audit firm, gain experience, and pursue acca.
4. find other jobs with higher salary.
