Hi all.

Can anyone recommend a shop that repairs iPod Classic in Klang Valley? The battery doesn't hold charge, and since none of the shops I found carry the replacement battery, I bought the battery online myself. However, seems that no shop that I found has the expertise to do the repair even with spare part provided

Any recommendations will be appreciated

Update: Fixed by iMalaysian, not cheap but can't find any other shop doing this anyway, and workmanship is excellent.

Reconditioning Old 2012 Myvi

Hi,

Been thinking about reconditioning my old 1.3 Myvi Lagi Best which has been running well, though cosmetically, it has seen better days. Not bothered with performance/handling upgrade after reading about this topic online; Myvi is meant to be a city car, good for fuel economy and convenience, not much on performance and good handling, no matter how much we mod. The objective is to restore it to factory condition as much as possible, with some minor comfort upgrade

Thinking of allocating approx. RM3k to do the following, need advice if the price estimation are ok, or if I should prioritize fixing something else. It's my wife's car, and she doesn't care about changing new car as long as the current one runs well, so can say that we can keep this car for another 4 - 5 years at least.

1. Paint respray and bodywork - exterior only, to fix small dents, scratches and faded paint = RM1.3k
2. Cushion wash, and dashboard, rims, as well as headlamp polish = RM250
3. Change the projector light bulbs to Osram Nightbreaker = RM150 a pair
4. Soundproofing door panels = RM300 for 4 doors (reduce wind noise and fix the rattling coming from the panels)
5. Leather stitching steering wheel and gear knob = RM200
6. Re-tint all windows/windshield = RM1k (look for mid tier brand, any recommendation?)
7. Fix door sensors, currently the car can't detect the doors are being opened, so it will auto-lock and engage alarm even if the doors are remain opened = Unknown cost but it's necessary to be fixed anyhow

Upgrade later dates:

1. Tires = once due, will change to Michellin XM2+ (stock 14" rim). Currently using some cheaper BFGoodrich tires, not sure which model
2. Engine mountings = to reduce vibration, never changed for years, must have deteriorated due to wear and tear
3. Brake = too soft, but did some reading, it is normal, nothing much can be done unless I am willing to invest in bigger brake (Odyssey?)
