Zotac 970, yay or nay?

Hye guys,

I'm currently running an old HD7770, was planning to wait for third party rx 480 pr gtx1060 but just yesterday zotac got sale for their 970, their amp extreme core edition rm1099 only.

Now I'm considering whether to get this. Cheaper than the new cards (expected 1.3-1.5k for third party coolers for both) and i'm going to be using them for 1080p gaming only.

What do you guys think? I play mostly indie games now because my card can't handle newer but have always wanted to play doom and shadow of mordor (already bought in last steam sale to anticipate GPU update lol)

USB3.0 driver windows 10

hey guys, I have a budget MOBO, the b75m-dgs, and i upgraded from my original windows 7 to windows 10 then used media tool creator from windows to create a windows 10 usb bootable disk and made a clean install (wanted that new PC feel) but after the install, The drivers were already there from microsoft so I wasnt too worried at first till I noticed my USB 3.0 port only works as 2.0 ports now (USB 3.0 hard drive light green instead of blue).

I looked at their website but no windows 10 drivers, how? my pc still works fine but it bugs me i'm not getting the speed I'm used to...

I keep getting this error for multiple apps. tried everything from http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-199...0xc000007b.html and other sites except for

1. Update/reinstall directX. I change registry the websintaller still says i have latest version
2. When copying some of the dlls in safe mode some cannot copy and replace because in use

Apart from that I'm already bummed.. need to reformat windows issit? I just installed windows on my new ssd a few weeks ago...

Budget vs high end SSD

As per the title, I'm just a regular PC user, not really transferring a ton of files back and forth, use PC for gaming and media consumption. My wife wants to buy me an ssd for my birthday since I'm still using old mechanical hard drives.

Now I can't decide whether to buy something that has higher read write speeds like samsung 850 evo 120gb (rm300) or something slower but higher capacity like liteon 256GB (rm375). Then there's also the OEM samsung pm71 ssd taken from laptops that are also a bit slower write speed but cheap (rm300) but only one year warranty compared to the 5 and 3 year warranty for the other SSDs respectively.

Question is the read and write speed on paper is noticeable but in real life performance? Can anyone give their recommendations/thoughts/opinions? Thank you!

Hye guys, like I said i the title, Im thinking of upgrading my GPU for gaming, this is my current setup

Processor: Intel Core i3 3220
Board: Asrock B75M-DGS Motherboard
Memory: 8GB DDR3
HardDsk: 1TB & 750GB 7200RPM HDD
Video: Sapphire 7770 Ghz edition
PSU: 500W PSU (this one I can't remember clearly but it's a Silverstone Strider essential series, it has 80 plus logo but no bronze or silver)

1. Budget: less than rm800 (trying for second hand for better value)
2. No real preference AMD or NVIDIA, just want good value for money. ringgit per FPS value hehe

Questions:
1. will my PSU be enough for something like an r9 280x or 770?
2. will my CPU or other component bottleneck?

i was looking around the interwebz and found these http://triptcc.com/gallery/psuwire-covers/ which looked awesome! and since i dont have a modular psu i'm kinda interested in getting one of these for my scout 2 case. does anyone know where i can get these in malaysia or if anyone here can make these at reasonable price? also, the ones that cover up the whole psu, would that lead to increase heat of the psu? thanks sifus!

Problem with internet connection

Hey guys, just wanted to see if i can get some help. I recently bought a dekstop with a TL-WN881ND network card in the PCI-E slot. been doing ok till now. It says I'm connected to the internet but I cant get into any websites. cant ping google from CMD. no nothing, but still says i'm connected. I tested my wifi using other computer and other computer is fine. how do i determine if it's a faulty network card or is it truely my wifi problem?

when i get internet connection it works good but then it slows down randomly and dies on me again. hope someone can help thank you!
