WeChat Replacement App?

Hi folks,

I have a group of Chinese clients (from China specifically) and they only prefer using WeChat (duh..).
yet we all know that weChat is not the best in security/privacy and that is my concern.

As i know there are many third party apps that can run ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, or Facebook messenger.
So i wonder if there is a third party app that can send and receive WeChat messages without using the actual weChat?

im a sole-proprietor in home based working environment.
recently been thinking to replaced the old pc with a new one, settled down with a Dell model but now in a midst in choosing the M.Office version.

im on a tight budget and only able to afford the Office Home & Student 2016 ver. (RM400) but i read it is not for business purposes.
For the commercial use there is an Office Home & Business 2016 (RM700 in lazada or RM1400 from Dell !!).

Now of coz we all know that using a pirated software will get seized by government/BSA/KPDNKK. but i wonder has anyone or any company got raided by the authority for using a legit M.office but in wrong field/purpose??? wanted to know the risk...

I have been helping a friend to look for the above mentioned tyre.

2006 Auto Inokom Atos Prima 1.1, currently on Sime tyre 175/60/13.
Location: Rawang/Bkt Beruntung.

is that the OEM tyre size?

Preferable with same size, comfort and less noise. Also can recommend other viable size/brand.
Best if advice on the brand/model/size/price/shop info

Surveyed 5 tyre shops in rawang, all doesnt carry this odd size. They offer limited choices eg. GT Radial & other Indon brands which i have no confidence on the quality.

G2A.com D3 & RoS on weekly sale

Dear fellow gamers,

I was tempted to get the digital keys from G2A which their RoS is on sale for us$23.

However they only accept paypal for all these sales items.
and transaction was done using my credit card through paypal to G2A, but soon after that i got a transaction rejection for no reason.

Contacted the customer service but asked me to read FAQ, which didnt resolve the prob.
Anyone have such problem dealing with these European websites?

Sole proprietary paying for wage

Greeting guys.
I need some advice on the wage (employer salary) for taxation purpose.

I have been working under a sole-proprietary company since last year.
Owner of the business is my old man, and operated by him and myself.
My monthly wage is actually received in the form of company's cheque.
However i did not registered myself to KWSP and socso, hence i did not declare my income into the 2013 income tax (BE), yet it got messy now.

As there is still a month before the deadline of the company tax submission (B),
I wonder how should this problem can be rectify in the company's balance sheet.

can it be declare as a withdrawal by business owner for his personal expenses? (whereas he already have a monthly fixed wage)
or treat it as wage paid to contract worker who usually does not registered under KWSP & socso,? (is it even legal?)
any idea how should this (expenses) be "parked" with a presentable and reasonable way?

Salary >RM3k can be exempted from SOCSO

Hi guys,

If one's salary is >rm3k, can he/she be exempted from paying socso?
i just found out there is a clause in Perkeso website as below quoted, but not sure what it is referring by "covered under Act " and "Notice of Election".

According to this "Act", if the employer/employee both agreed not to pay for socso contribution, will he/she lose the benefit of Socso insurance cover?

Under the Act, an employee is defined as a person who has been employed by an employer under a contract of service or apprenticeship.
• Employees Monthly Earning At RM3,000 Or Less

I have seen many arguments on the topic of efficiency & $$ saving between hybrids and diesel, but there is no clear winner.
yet allow me to share a new comer from the petrol engine family... the Nissan DIG-T R engine. its developed as a race car engine but lets hope it will get into mass production one day.

Employment Procedure

Hi guys,

I have started a business early this year,
it is sole-proprietary (not private limited/sdn bhd) and we are dealing with industrial/automotive supplies.
Currently im expending the business and already have suitable candidate for the vacant.

However I have no clue in the employment thingy as i came from an engineering field.
Would like to hear from the tauke , HR/Admin or any experienced LYN forumer in the procedures of employment.

What are the steps/procedures/documents/government party (KWSP, LHDN, SOCSO, etc) for both employer and employee to register/submit.
How the EPF, SOCSO should be deducted and by when/how to submit to the authorities?
Etc etc...

There are many threads on car safety that i shouldnt have create this one, but i guess its better to separate this so i dont hijack the other threads.

when we talk about safety, the topics basically governing in airbags, ABS, crumple zone.
these devices are known as passive safety, which only help in reducing casualties.
actually there is a primary safety that most of us overlooked, which is the active safety that could assist in avoiding a collision in the first place.

Hence i feel that active safety should gets more attention, not only for the petrolheads, but equally important to the public.

below are some info that i have summarized based on the discussion with Carhs gmbh and Altair Engineering, both are the pioneers in the crash simulator, or CAE simulation. There are only four simple diagrams as the others are non-disclosure due to corporate policies.

I have currently shifted my career to SOHO which is home office. now in dilemma to choose between a 3in1 and 4in1 printer.

current setup of the a single phone line, splitter then split it to the fax machine and pc modem. (phone not required)
already been using an old fax machine at home but i have no problem to replace it with a 4in1.

need advice on choosing the right printer as below needs:

a. budget below rm500, can be up to 600 if necessary.
b. office & doc only, not for photo printing.
c. low usage as 5pcs A4 daily, mainly B&W faxes, quotation stuffs.
d. occasionally print some colour catalog. (5~10pcs A4/month)
(if pick the B&W printer, i can go photocopy shop to print these colour catalog)
e. since im mostly doing quotation on my pc, hence thinking to fax directly from PC (4in1) instead or print a hardcopy then fax it on my old fax machine (3in1 + separate fax)

Much appreciate if sifu(s) can guide me on these...

Started a new job, but old company sue me.

Happened to a friend of mine. hes now lost and seek for my advice. but im not familiar with the lawsuit thingy thus i posted here hopefully to get some proper advice.

Here goes the story:
He (my friend) is an R&D engineer, just resigned from the old company and joined the new one couple of weeks ago. everything goes well & he was a happy man until 2 days ago, he received a postage.
It was a letter issued by his old company "asking" him to terminate his service in this new company in 2 weeks time before turning in to a court case.

The reason was this new company is the customer to the old company (supplier & customer relationship), which my fren thought it wasnt a problem (which actually isnt a prob to both the new/old company), until he read the letter from old company stated that the new company is not only a customer, but also a competitor at the same time (under certain business scheme), which is now a sensitive case...

so he has no clue what to do next. should he seek for a lawyer advice? (where & how, costly for consultation?). or soft talk to the old company to settle it without being sue (but how)? or should he request the new company to backup him to confront the old company even if involving lawsuit action? ( which i dont think is possible).

i hope someone had gone thru similar scenario could give me (him) piece of advice, or anyone from Human Resource Dept, or even into law/lawyer him/herself, kindly advice the poor soul of my friend.

btw what is the power rail thingy? how much is enuf for the vga?
