Sup Folks,

Decided to open this topic here since this topic is frequently being discuss but there's always misinformation or folks always counter attack something that they themself do not understand. Then there is the extreme folks is overly fanatic and emotional to this and argueing over silly points. Most of the folks here is more Nons and somehow growing up, we too did not understand the true issue of this conflict.

Now, as a non myself, i understand why us here have a little scepticism to believe whenever they mention something without being bias.

This is an indirect result of certain constitutional policy in place which is bias and discrimination and having a disadvantage since no time limit ( yes, wake up ppl, the truth is ugly and this is the fact if yall disagree on this)

Nevertheless, when it comes to humanitarian issues, we shouldn't be divided instead should be united in standing in what is wrong is wrong and dare to stand when it's right. ( by doing the right way)

KOTA KINABALU: A man, who raped his 15-year-old sister in-law, has been given a 10-year jail sentence and three whippings.

Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan issued the sentence on Friday (Aug 25) after the 41-year-old man pleaded guilty to committing the heinous crime at a village house in the southwestern Papar district at 2am on June 9.

The accused was charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code which provided a maximum 20-year jail sentence and whipping if found guilty.

The accused, according to the facts of the case, entered the girl’s bedroom by opening the grille of its window using a screwdriver on the day of the incident.

The victim’s mother found out about the incident on Aug 17, when she asked the daughter why the accused had met her at night.

At first, the girl did not disclose anything but after being pressed further by the mother, she divulged the incident which later led to the arrest of the accused the next day.

The girl also told the mother that the incident had taken place multiple times, with the last on June 9.

The accused, who was not represented, asked the court to impose a lenient sentence on him during mitigation, saying he had two children and his parents to look after.

Deputy public prosecutor Dacia Jane Romanus, however, urged the court for a deterrent sentence instead due to the seriousness and rampancy of the case.

SERDANG, Aug 1 — A police sergeant has been arrested to assist in the investigation into a break-in at the exhibit store of the Sepang district police headquarters (IPD) last Friday (July 28).

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the policemen, who is attached to the commercial unit of the Sepang IPD, in his 40s, was arrested yesterday.

Speaking to reporters after attending Sime Darby Property Bhd’s Auxiliary Police Unit’s 7th anniversary parade at Padang Kawad Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) here today, he said the case was being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.

“We are still investigating the motive behind the incident and the value of the lost items,” he said, adding that the police would apply for a remand order against the policeman.

A police report claiming that the exhibit store had been ransacked and items linked to narcotic cases, along with a bag containing a laptop with information on the data, had gone missing, went viral recently.

The report also stated that checks revealed that the closed-circuit camera at the location was damaged and not functioning.

Meanwhile, Hussein said that as of yesterday, the police had received 16 reports in connection with various election offences, including party flags and posters being vandalised.

YANGON, Oct 24 — At least 30 people were killed in an air strike during a concert held by an ethnic minority group in conflict with the ruling military, opposition groups, residents and media said today.

The air strike late today in the northern state of Kachin, which the military has yet to confirm took place, killed civilians, prominent local singers and officers of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), media reported, citing witnesses who said the attack was carried out by three jets.

A spokesperson for the junta could not immediately be reached for comment and Reuters could not immediately verify the details of the reports, which said the strike happened in the A Nang Pa region of Hpakant township.

Myanmar has been gripped by violence since the army overthrew an elected government early last year. Opposition movements, some of them armed, have since emerged across the country, which the military has countered with lethal force.

KIA spokesperson Naw Bu said the attack targeted celebrations of the 62nd anniversary of the formation of the Kachin army’s political wing, the Kachin Independence Organisation (KIO).

“The air raid was intentional. The KIA/KIO strongly condemns this. This is quite a wicked act which can be also considered war crimes,” he said by phone, adding his organisation could not yet confirm the death toll.

Since the coup, open conflict has resumed between the Myanmar army and bitter rival the KIA, which has been fighting for greater autonomy for the Kachin people for six decades and has voiced support for the anti-junta resistance.

The shadow National Unity Government (NUG), an alliance of anti-military groups, said it was greatly saddened by the loss of life and urged the United Nations and international community to intervene and urgently stop the atrocities.

“The terrorist military has deliberately committed another mass killing with aerial bombardments by targeting a large public concert,” the NUG said in a statement.

“The act of the terrorist military clearly violates international laws.”

The United Nations has repeatedly condemned Myanmar’s military, accusing it of crimes against humanity over the deaths of civilians. The junta says its operations are targeting “terrorists”. — Reuters

producing energy and car fuel from livestock waste: it sounds too good to be true, but this is what is happening on this farm near Piacenza, in Italy's Emilia Romagna region.

The farm boasts 600 cows and produces large quantities of milk. But in addition, the family-run business has diversified into new areas.

"Over the last few years, we have started a project that is allowing us to produce renewable energy and to have an actual circular economy," says owner Nicoletta Cella.

"I mean, we can produce energy from animal excrement and livestock waste, along with agricultural by-products."

Behind the farm, a specific structure extracts bio-methane from animal waste and transports it directly to the front, where customers wait at the pump to get cheap gas.

The transportation of this renewable natural gas or RNG is a direct one, this gas is carried from the producer to the consumer, through just a few metres of pipe.

"We produce bio-sustainable fuel from our livestock waste and the idea of us, an agricultural company, being able to input it into the transport system is extremely gratifying on a personal level," said Cella

The gas station opened last February, a couple of weeks before Russia invaded Ukraine and the subsequent surge in the costs of energy and fuel.

In addition to tackling the energy crisis, the initiative provides a solution to managing methane gas emissions.

According to the European Commission, they massively contribute to climate change and the livestock sector is a major contributor.

This greenhouse gas has more heat-trapping qualities than carbon dioxide and traps 84 times more heat over 20 years than carbon dioxide.

Last year, a coalition of countries signed the first global commitment to cut methane emissions by at least 30% below 2020 levels by 2030 at the UN climate conference COP26 in Glasgow.

The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) can play an important role as well which has the potential to better support better manure management and biogas production.

For now, this Italian farm has found a sustainable way to fight the crisis, from field to pump.
