PC can't boot with SATA harddisk

As stated above, i got a problem to boot my pc with sata drive. The drive is SAMSUNG HD080HJ (80GB/7200rpm/8M). The drive is fully functioning since it had been tested with another system. No problem at all. When i set up my system with one IDE drive and one SATA drive (the drive in question), the IDE drive become system drive and windows boot normally without any problem. I also can access the SATA drive. The only problem now is to boot the pc with only SATA drive in the system. Does this problem related with SATA driver?
Anybody who read this thread please give ur opinion. I really appreciate it.
TQ

System specs:

MOBO: DFI NF2 Ultra Infinity
PROC: Athlon XP 2200+
RAM: Kingston DDR400 256Mb
GC: Inno 3D 64Mb
Optical Drive: BenQ DVD writer dual layer
