Hi, today I received a call from a person claiming that he want to offer a job at astro in marketing/ customer service department. The number is blocked by the way. He asked me to attend an interview at menara TA one, 31st floor on Tuesday morning. Later, he gave me a phone number and ask me to call the number if I have any question. I asked him where he got my number and he said he got it from my university. When I google the number, a lot of people said they have received such call and say that this is a scam. Some say they got disengage when called this number and some said it's a call from Scicom. Anyone have gotten such call before? I don't want to waste my time attending the interview if it really is a scam. If you all need the phone number I can write it out or pm you. If anyone have any information about this pls don't hesitate to share it. Thanks.

Huawei e220 modem installation problem

Hi, I don't know whether I post in the right section or not but I really need some help here. Previously my Huawei e220 broadband modem is running fine on my window vista laptop. After I reinstall it, now the device cannot be detected. When I check in device manager, I receive a message that says the device cannot start (code 10). The modem is running fine in my window xp laptop so I guess it is not the modem problem. I'm really frustrated right now. I would really appreciate any help provided. Tq

[WTA] Changing an old laptop hard disk

I've just post a question regarding download problem yesterday and I've planned to change my laptop hard disk to solve this problem once and for all

lol. No, I'm just joking haha. Actually I just think it's time to change my 4 year old laptop hard disk since I occasionally heard some loud clicking and

clunking some coming from my hdd. The problem is the shop that I went only have 400gb and 500gb hdd. However, my laptop only run on 512 mb ram

and pentium m processor. Will this enw hdd make my laptop lag or whatsoever? Or there's no relationship between processor , ram and hdd. I just

hope that after installing the 400 gb hdd my laptop will run the same speed as previously with the original 80gb hard disk. Will there be any

complication? Pls enlighten me. Thnx.

Need some help regarding download

Hi, Sometimes my firefox and ie just can't download anything off the web. What I mean is the download box that is suppose pop up and ask where

you would like to save the file did not appear. I've tried with various sites too but it's all the same. There is no problem loading any webpage and I

know that my internet is working properly. However, this only happen occasionally but it seems to happened more fequent recently? Any idea what is

the problem and how to solve this? Oh, and after I restart my laptop I can start downloading again. Weird huh?

Hi. Ya, I'm still using mozilla firefox 2 in my old laptop as I think that the firefox 3 hog more memory than the previous version and my old laptop is

only running on 512mb ram ( well I do have a firefox 3 in my newer laptop. I still remember a few years back there is a guide in the essential guide

section where it teach how to tweak the firefox by accessing the about:config but for some reason I can't find the guide. The only guide I found

require the chromedit and it seems somewhat different. I would really appreciate it if someone could find the old guide for me or teach me here on

how to tweaking it by using the about:config. For some reason I just don't want t to use the chromedit. Funny huh? Anyway, Thnx in advance and have

Vista blocked file protection control

Hi, most of my existing file have been blocked suddenly which i guess is due to recent window update. I have to right click the file and enter the

properties where a message "file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" can be found beneath there and

with an option to unblock it. Since this problem occur, each new file that I downloaded have been blocked too. Can anyone teach me how to prevent

this from occuring to all the file to be downloaded in the future? I have found several solution but none of it work. One of them is to enter the

gpedit.msc but this option is not available in window vista home premium. There is another option for home premium which require me to edit the

registry as following HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments\SaveZone. However, I can't find any

attachment under the policies. If there is any solution that you all know pls guide me ya.

Btw, I'm using window vista home premium.

Okay , i have a iphone 3 g with firmware 2.01. I have problem syncing downloaded application into my iphone. th eiphone shows that it's syncing but afer the sync no new application show up but the previous application are still in there. Any idea?

I'm curious that is it safe to keep an external hard disk in a air-cond room?Will the the fluctuating temperature when I bring it out of the room into a warmer place damage the HD?

There is some minor problem with my external HD.Actually it's not big deal..it's just that if i leave it without doing anything (copy,open any file,etc) for about 15-30 minutes it will like auto remove itself and connect again (Don't know how to explain it ).I mean it will autoplay again and prompt me for action.Do any of you know wether this is viral infection or intenal problem?

Hey guys..I got some serious problem here..I dun know how to explain this..all the things in my desktop disappear...all the icons and even the 'Start'..i can't do anything except opening my task manager...The icons and all that was there when I restart my cpu..But it will like disappear and reappear and after a few minutes it will completely disappear...I noe my explanation is hard to understand but I hope someone is able to help me.
