router to automatically provide public ip

hi, im currently using RT-N12D1 with latest firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602. my current setup is im using unifi business fixed ip 20mb. everything works well, when i connect my laptop to interfaces behind the asus router, i get the local lan ip and the internet works well. same if i connect via wireless, i get the lan ip and internet works well. my unifi fixed ip is used to access my asus router from my home.

Now, i have a server at my office. I would like to have my server eth1 interface to be assigned with my unifi fixed ip. i dont want to use the lan ip and NAT. how can i do that? my old office using tm own router, when we plug in a laptop or any device, i will get the unifi fixed ip via dhcp. how can i setup the asus router to do the same. automatically assign my server to get my unifi fixed ip. i dont want my server to initiate any dialing or connection. the asus router should help me connect to unifi and asign the fixed public ip to my server eth1.

please help. thank you.

*** asus tech support just mentioned asus router cannot give out wan ip address** Please recommend any other router that i can use.

Hi there, currently my office uses the DIR-615 firmware 7.17 router which comes default with the TM Unifi 5mb business package with dynamic ip. We have 40 staff now, and experiencing internet issue which i suspect due to the default router from tm. The router also becomes very slow when accessed. Correct me if im wrong, the router is not very suitable for 40 users right?

Current network equipment used

Level 5 office floor
- one tm wifi router dir 615
- one 10/100 lan switch
- about 20 staff

Level 6 office floor
- one 10/100 lan switch
- about 20 staff

yes both floor has lan cable to every office desk. this was used when we had alot of desktop running. Nowdays all use notebook and they prefer to be connected wireless so that can be mobile.

Please suggest me a good wifi router to replace the current tm unifi wifi router. Do i need to use repeaters to fully cover level 5&6? or do i just need one good wifi router that can cover both floors? do i need to use AP at floor 6?

all office staff uses internet to surf and read emails. Also a NAS is used internally where they access everyday. So i would need a good wifi router which stable to use to transfer large files over wireless to the NAS.

Thank you for your suggestions sifu's
