my laptop can't boot XP cd

hello guys...
i am here coz i need advices from u guys to overcome my problem here..

i am using Acer 5583 laptop and plannin' to format my hdd....
but the thing is.... the XP cd can't be booted when the lappie is restarted....
i already tried 3 pcs of different cds but ended up with failures...can not boot...

then i tried to use those cds with my desktop and it works which showed that the CDs are working...
i already selected my dvdram as my #1 boot drive....

owhya...forget to mention that my dvdram drive is in good condition...

so...mind to help?

For ur info..I lost my RAM's receipt...
can my RAM be replace if I visit the Kingston Support Centre?

I heard that Kingston Memory Drives are provided with a LifeTime Warranty..
is it true..?

This HP shop is located at the first floor LYP,nearby APT Salon tends to practice a dirty marketing startegy...the will offer u a price which is absolutely u cant find anywhere in LYP...and their dirty marketing startegy goes as follows:

1. the first u asked the phone price,they'll give u a very nice price and ask u to go and survey first and come back to them if u got no better price like they offerred.

2. unfortunately, u found no better offer and u come back to that shop,and u decided to buy ur hp there. Then, they'll ask u pay first for the HP as they will go to take the stock

3. once the stock arrived, they will try to push u to add another few bucks like
beween RM50 to RM180 for the AntiVirus software...and his reasons are the technology nowadays is advance and this AV is to protect ur hp from any threats that arise

4. And u as a customer who lacks of knowledge in this kind of field will eventually
fall into their trap by adding another extra bucks for their so called AntiVirus..

5. so the total amount that u paid for the phone is expensive compare to any shops in LYP. because of this so called AntiVirus software.

its not im trying to ruin their bisnes here...but the way they conducting the bisnes is dirty and not professional...i know that its hard to make sales nowadays, but please lar...run the bisnes in the clean bisness way..dun con people who are lacks of knowledge in this kind of field.

my streamyx connection at Seri Kembangan always got disconnected..im usind the usb modem..is this due to the modem or to the connection itself...got contact the streamyx ppl and they said the were upgrading...why?
