You can put 1st class if not sure which you'll change to. Most players (incl myself) aren't familiar with the 3rd class names, 2nd class should be specific enough for finding parties.

Also please note I will likely not be updating individual players' clans a lot since they tend to change, so leave it out if you're unsure.

CITIZENS OF ARIA
some appended from IGN list on the Cari forums

0rcHer0 / Monk
Annasui / Bladedancer
Ateris / Bounty Hunter
Break / Necromancer
chinjeolhanssi / Elven Elder* / Infinity
coke / Dwarf Fighter
DangerousGal / Gladiator / Infinity
Durian / Human Fighter
EastWindStorm / Bladedancer
Elffie / Silver Ranger
EVOLUTION / Spellhowler
Evonne / Necromancer
Faispirit / Plainswalker
Finity / Spellsinger
fireoptic / Artisan
GodSend / Phantom Ranger
Hamsap / Spellhowler
IceMilo / Dark Mystic
Impressa / Human Fighter
Kemi / Elf Mystic
kobian / Human Fighter
Marock
Nightingale / Swordsinger
Kronous / Palus Knight
LegionDen / Spellsinger
Lestoni / Elven Scout
Mango
Millias / Spellsinger
OxAKIxO / Overlord
royalmist / Monk
SafetyWall / Human Fighter
Shaff / Gladiator / Infinity
Shinigami / Treasure Hunter
Snow / Elf Mystic
Tempestas / Tyrant
Templar / Elven Knight
THORIR / Human Fighter
xchivasx
XxShadowArtxX / Destroy
WalRuS / Dwarven Fighter

CITIZENS OF BLACKBIRD

bovinelord / Orc Marauder
dwarft / Elven Elder / Faith
Elessar / Elven Knight / Resilience
ineedmoney / Warsmith
Penkz / Gladiator
Shift / Human Fighter
Soldier / Destroyer / Faith
UnKnown313 / Dark Fighter
ViniX
Whisper / Shilien Knight
Xyrene

GUILDS OF ARIA

guildname

GUILDS OF BLACKBIRD

guildname

Random reboots, slow random seek+rw score

Hello,

My desktop reboots every time I log into WoW. xD; I know, the solution is to not play WoW, which is fine by me! But I notice the computer's overall performance is also affected - copying files takes a long time, CPU noise has increased, etc. Would greatly appreciate it if anyone could take a look at the symptoms / test results I'll describe below, and suggest anything I could do (since I am a total hardware dummy).

Here's the story:

1. Defragmented the hard drive (both partitions C and D) one day.
The next time I started the PC, it could not boot WinXP- 'boot disk failure, insert system disk and retry'

2. Checked BIOS, everything was fine.
Checked HDD's jumper cables too, everything fine.
In the end I chose to restore BIOS defaults and restart.
Now WinXP can boot. Seemed like a success.

3. Noticed copying files seemed to take a bit longer than usual now. Task Mgr didn't show any weird processes running though.
Ran WoW, logged in, moved around a bit - computer rebooted.

4. Did the following:

a) Ran PerformanceTest, everything was fine except random seek + rw which had a pretty low score of 3.2/10 (not sure but I think it was around 7 before. This HDD is a month old.)

b) Ran Memtest - zero errors

c) Did a DXDIAG - no problems except in Sound, where I got this message (I can hear sound just fine, anyway):

QUOTE

The file ALCXWDM.SYS is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer.

d) Checked Device Manager, there was one unknown device located on the PCI bus. No idea what it is, haven't added any new hardware to the CPU that might have caused the problem.

e) Started Lineage II, logged on, played about half an hour - Task Mgr usage was at 99% (it's usually not so high, maybe 80-90) but no other weird processes were running. Decided to turn off PC - it decided to reboot, and once again, showed the 'boot disk failure, insert system disk' message.

The CPU itself is barely 3 years old (AMD 64 2800+, 512RAM, ATI RADEON 9600, forgot what mobo it has).
The HDD is a month old (the old one had a bad sector, I had it removed and a new one put in).

Any idea what might be wrong?
Is there any other investigative procedure I can carry out to pinpoint the problem?
At this point I'm only sure that it's not the RAM, and it might be the sound driver (which my friend installed for me, and which I am considering uninstalling and looking for my original sound drivers). I am really hoping it is not an OS problem since I hate reinstalling WinXP :/

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer :)

tracert 216.218.131.21 timeout, ISP's fault?

EDIT: Nevermind, oddly enough once I get a 60.49.xx ip address the lag problem disappears (no more timeouts). Weird.

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx 1M
Location: USJ
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Yeah. They weren't very helpful at all.

Personal equipment
Modem: Aztech DSL600E
Router: None
Firewall used: normal Windows firewall.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Playing on a particular server in Nov/Dec 2005, had no problem. Tried connecting last week, lagging very badly.
Problem frequency: Constant / ongoing
Problem description:

Massive game lag. I just wanted to know if anyone else from Malaysia could try running the following command (start>run>cmd) and letting me know your results, as well as which ISP you are using. If you think it is not the ISP's fault and could be due to some modem setting, please do let me know too.

The command is tracert 216.218.131.21.

Note: A couple of people who play on same server as me experienced the same problem (terrible lag spikes) although they are connecting from Portugal. They happen to be using the same ISP; both ran a tracert to the following ip and their results look similar to mine. Most other people on the server don't have this problem. This is what he wrote about his ISP:

QUOTE

you know Netcabo have withdrawn any limits regarding downloads, so that would create a massive p2p movement. Regarding that possibility, they put a bottleneck in p2p connections and related, so what happened was, (7777 tcp) is within that range and that's why we're lagging horribly in-game.

Also you can see that after "pos10-0.gsr12416.fmt.he.net" our requests get blocked. I don't know if that is blocking icmp requests or anything else

Finally these are my current results when I run the tracert. If yours looks like mine (single digit -> 3 digits -> timeout), we're in the same boat.. So if yours is OK, clear all the way, let me know which ISP/area you are in. If you can get good results using Streamyx then I will stop blaming them lol.

QUOTE

Tracing route to 216.218.131.21 over a maximum of 30 hops

  1 128 ms 23 ms 38 ms 219.93.218.177
  2 9 ms 8 ms 8 ms 219.93.216.149
  3 8 ms 9 ms 8 ms 219.93.155.37
  4 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms 219.94.12.133
  5 9 ms 9 ms 9 ms 210.187.143.1
  6 9 ms 8 ms 9 ms 219.93..155
  7 9 ms 9 ms 8 ms 210.187.129.167
  8 200 ms 199 ms 199 ms 219.93.168.230
  9 215 ms 214 ms 215 ms lax-ix.he.net [206.223.123.37]
10 229 ms 228 ms 229 ms pos3-2.gsr12416.pao.he.net [65.19.129.1]
11 228 ms 229 ms 228 ms pos5-0.gsr12416.fmt.he.net [216.218.229.33]
12 * * * Request timed out.

Thanks and cheers

Streamyx: Slow international connection

I have been fighting with TMnet for almost 4 months on the same problem now. I'm really fed up and would like to change ISPs. Could I have your help in confirming the following:--

Are Jaring wired users experiencing very slow connections to international sites/servers?

I only know that some (not all) Streamyx users are facing this problem.

I can easily get the 218.111.x.x ip, but it is also too slow for me to play online games, and some international websites (German) I use for work also refuse to load

I have been thinking about switching to Jaring wired, as I do not think the problem is with my phone line. 4 different technicians from TM(100) and TMNet have come and checked my setup; all have said my phone line is ok but since it is 4.1KM from nearest port (max distance is 5KM), I 'may have some problems'. All of them flatly refused to replace the copper wire. (None of them understood the term 'legal action'.)

However, before Feb 2006 I had been using Streamyx for almost a year without any trouble at all, so I completely refused to believe what they said.

Appreciate your help as this is really wearing me out, I already work 12-14 hours a day and I hate it when I come home and I can't even play for an hour or two :'(

ZerA: Imperan Intrigue

Streamyx is too slow for me to play tonight, so I just thought I'd share my screencaps since I have hardly heard any English news of this game :3

Zera Official Website (IE6.0)

ZerA is an 'extremely massively multiplayer rpg' developed by Korean gaming company Nexon. The graphics are really stunning (development took 3 years!), with the characters, mobs and environments beautifully rendered and animated. The skill system, mob behaviour and gameplay make the grind fairly bearable; aside from this it also offers instanced missions, open PVP (future) and a complex guild/siege system that unfortunately sounds like a carbon copy of Lineage II.

The game is currently in Korean Open Beta, scheduled to go p2p in a few weeks (?). No date has been set for an international release but it seems to be listed with KRUonline, who manage Nexon's English releases.

Level 20+ characters - female summoner, male ranger, male wizard:

Level 1-10 characters - female wizard, female ranger, male warrior:

Dustier, boss of Verbaz demiplane (lv 10-17):

Sauvage Hillock (16-20 leveling area):

Nielithiem (18-23 leveling area):

Tragedie Ombre (21-26 leveling area):

Phantom and golem (pets / summons obtained through drop/trade):

IMHO ZerA seems a fairly casual and solo-friendly game, without the pressure to grind to the top as fast as possible. Of course this may change as patches are introduced, especially the open PVP system (currently PVP is duel-based).
