windows/hdd problem

just install winxp sp2 after changing to another mobo, my problem is after installation the windows detect my sata hdd as a removable drive (got green arrow icon in taskbar like when opening thumdrive).Before this my hdd got infected with virus and killed my mobo when cleaning up process.Now the hdd has been clean up.
Before this im using vista and it was ok untill i decided to downgrade to winxp then the problem started.
anybody can help me, why my sata hdd detected as removable drive...even after 3 versions of windows xp installed its the same.
