COLORADO (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): A man in Colorado, United States recently went through great sorrow and joy in one day, as he welcomed a baby girl but lost his wife from childbirth.

Frederick Connie said his wife, Keyvonne, began bleeding at their home in Littleton on Friday morning, Nov 30.

Connie said her due date was not until the middle of January next year, local media Fox Denver 31 reported.

He then rushed her to the local hospital, where doctors said he had a hard decision to make: either they have a surgery first to save his wife’s life, or have an emergency caesarean section to save the child, but may risk losing Keyvonne.

Connie chose the latter.

The woman made it through the emergency birth, and was able to see photos of her newborn daughter. But hours after giving birth, Keyvonne’s health rapidly declined.

“Literally all of her insides just went all over the bed and the floor,” Connie said. “They tried to save her, and her heart couldn’t take it. She died before they could even get her to the surgery.”

In honor of his late wife, Connie named their daughter, Angelic Keyvonne, and nicknamed “little Pooder.” “She’s going to know her mom. I’ll make sure of that,” he said.

However, Pooder has her own struggle — she is currently battling health issues, and is expected to spend weeks in the hospital. Once the baby is released from the hospital, Connie said he plans on burying his wife next.

“I’m financially not OK. This debt is like piling up and I have to bury my wife, my daughter coming into the world, it’s so high right now,” he said.

Connie also said in the report that he would even sell everything he has, and sleep in his car just so he could care for his daughter.

To help settle the debts, Connie’s boss Justin Collins set up a fundraiser on Facebook. The effort has raised $3,115 (RM12, 964), as of writing.

Although he lost Keyvonne, Connie said he is glad with the decision he made.

Woman gets lost purse returned

BEIJING: A woman in eastern China has had the cash inside a purse returned a decade after she lost it, according to a news website report.

The woman lost the purse, which also contained her bank and identity cards, about 10 years ago when she was working in Nanjing in Jiangsu province, Thepaper.cn reported.

The woman did not report the loss of the purse and the 268 yuan (US$39) inside to the police and later moved to neighbouring Anhui province.

However, a man did find the purse at the time, but promptly forgot about it after taking it home.

He then found it last year after preparing to move home and handed it to a policeman in Nanjing.

The officer was finally able to track the woman down using her identity card.

The woman, who was not named, was reluctant to travel all the way back to Nanjing to reclaim her belongings and such a comparatively small amount of money.

On 24 Feb i wanted to buy keyboard from this fellow below in Lelong. i wanted a blue switch keyboard but notice he only display black switch in his list of items for sale. So i asked him whether he got stock for blue switch and he replied yes. So i proceed to pay and left a remark to remind i wanted a blue switch. But almost 3 days later, he said he sent a black switch keyboard. But the bigger problem here, the items is stated delivered but i never got it. After that he commented i'm a good buyer. Post laju tracking also stated "item arrived at destination". This is my first lelong purchase. What mistake did i do here? And what should i do now? Please advise

The Malaysian police have obtained an arrest warrant for Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown.

The warrant is in connection with offences allegedly committed under Section 124B and 124I.

In a statement, Bukit Aman said it would also proceed with applications to place her on the Aseanapol wanted list as well as the Interpol red notice.

Section 124B states: Whoever, by any means, directly or indirectly, commits an activity detrimental to parliamentary democracy shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to twenty years.

Whereas124I states: Any person who, by word of mouth or in writing or in any newspaper, periodical, book, circular, or other printed publication or by any other means including electronic means spreads false reports or makes false statements likely to cause public alarm, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years.

KUALA LUMPUR - All eyes are on Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, who is due to return from overseas tonight. Will he announce his resignation after an unmistakable hint from his boss Prime Minister Najib Razak to quit.
Muhyiddin angered his boss when he criticized the shadowy wheeling and dealing in 1MDB, the controversial sovereign fund created by Najib but which is now believed to be embroiled in serious debt and may even be 'insolvent'.
Muhyiddin's controversial video in which he called for the entire 1MDB board, which would include Najib, to be sacked and the police called in to investigate is seen within Umno as a direct challenge to Najib's authority.
Hence, Muhyiddin who is also Umno's deputy president, will be closely watched by the nation. His supporters are also keen to go head to head with Najib after Friday's 'insult'.
At last week's Cabinet meeting, Najib was reported by Umno newspaper Utusan as having told his ministers to stick with him on 1MDB or hand in their resignations.

Beberapa nama dan muka baru masuk menjadi sebahagian kabinet baru Dato Seri Najib untuk menghadapi ujian dan cabaran besar menjelang PRU14.

Nama nama yang baru muncul di Jabatan Perdana Menteri seperti YB Khairy, Dato Asyraf diberi peranan khusus untuk menjaga orang muda dan golongan belia. Dato Azeez pula diberi peranan mengambil alih tempat Dato Razali Ibrahim, selain menjaga 1M4U.

Tan Sri Nordin Kardi dipilih sebagai menteri penuh Menteri Pengajian Tinggi (diwujudkan semula) kerana pengalamannya sebagai Naib Canselor sebagaimana sebelum ini Tan Sri Musa Mohamed Naib Canselor USM yang menjadi Menteri Pendidikan. Dato Irmo yang aktif dalam belia dan NGO dijangka akan memberi nafas baru untuk misi emas olimpik dan Piala Dunia. Ahmad Maslan diberi kepercayaan penuh untuk mengembalikan semula keyakinan rakyat terhadap kerajaan menerusi kementerian penerangan.

JDT Goalkeeper charged

GEORGE TOWN: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) II goalkeeper Mohd Anis Faron Ahmad has been charged in a magistrate's court here with "outraging the modesty" of the Royal Malaysian Police by using foul language.

The 33-year-old was accused of hurling vulgarities at police personnel at around 10.50pm on April 3 at the City Stadium here.

Mohd Anis Faron claimed trial to the offence under Section 509 of the Penal Code, which is punishable by a five-year prison sentence, fine, or both.

It was reported that Mohd Anis Faron had allegedly hurled vulgarities at several Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel while walking into the changing room after a Premier League match on the night of the incident. Penang won the match 2-1.

Officials from JDT II had reportedly tried to intervene and apologise when FRU personnel apprehended Mohd Anis Faron, but to no avail.

Dell XPS 8700 Desktop cannot start

The power lights up and try to start but off again, repeatedly. It started few months ago but always start after few attempt automatically. This time won't start at all. Call Dell Support, warranty expired. the support staff ask me to check the LED light above power cord behind CPU and determined motherboard needs to be change. Say will send quotation for me to decided whether want their support people to change it onsite. Anybody has any idea what's the problem? Please help
