Hi All, I m Eddie from Gorly Equipment Sdn Bhd. We are a company that provide equipment rental for aerial work platform such as scissor lift, boom lift & mobile aluminium scaffolding.

Transfer car ownership (regards to road tax)

Hi guys,

I would like to ask about transfer of car ownership. Basically, this is what I know so far,

1. Get the car for inspection at puspakom. (Done)
2. Seller and buyer to go Jpj to fill in form and submit for transfer ownership.

* As far as I know, once ownership transfer complete. The current car road tax will be voided regardless of the balance validity.

So I'm stucked at this process. Since the road tax is voided, how the buyer can immediately get a valid road tax on the same day at the lowest cost possible? Insurance required for getting a road tax? No. 3 insurance?

I tried to search on the forum for past threads but can't find any. Therefore hopefully all the expert here could help in this matter..

Appreciate for all the advise given, it really helps me alot. Sincerely thanks.

Anyway I have finally make up my choice and proceed with my initial plan to go for palm spring condominium. Basically, I have view a few units and found one of the unit that I kinda like it. The selling price is at RM355k, so my questions is what is the next thing that I should proceed?

As far as I know, below are things that I should work on,
1. Look for the Bank that provides the best interest rate on loan and bank value on unit? Perhaps, any suggestion from you guys?
2. Look for lawyer to prepare on the documentation?

On the other hand, there are some leaking issue on the unit and before I should proceed any confirmation, the owner will need to get all of it fixed? Or this is the later part after signing the agreement?

I'm sorry if these questions sounds stupid but I seriously have no idea which to start and the entire procedure to purchase the unit. Your advise is really much appreciated!

This morning, i was driving to my office.

during halfway, i heard something like "broke / torn / drop" not really sure which of it.

Then i started to felt something wrong with my car, and heard of the noise "clak clak"
not really loud, but I can hear of it.

My steering become heavy and difficult for me to turn.

I thought it was tyre punctured, so stop by and look at it.
tyre looks fine.

Then open up my car bonnet, and saw the belt that attached on the alternator, looks like gonna torn soon.
I am not sure if the belt is not in the right position and caused that.

other that, i cant really observe what's going wrong.

p/s: my car can still move, but will heard of the noise, and steering heavy (hard to turn).
my car : proton wira

any idea what's wrong? I don't want to kena con ar... last month only i changed a new alternator.

anyway, my location now is at sg buloh, anyone know of any trusted garage within this area?

car automatically die off

few days back, i was in the jam.

Then my car suddenly die off. Then car double signal auto on, alarm siren on.
I couldn't start back my car. So i stop, and use my remote to stop the alarm..

Then after awhile my car manage to start back.

Yesterday, while i was driving with my car radio on.. then when i on my car light..
the radio die off..

then i off my car light, the radio turn back on..

I suspect it is my car battery problem, because when driving back, my car light is like getting weaker and weaker,
even the clock in my car also off and on..

any idea what is the problem? =/

input password on zip folder

hey guys,

I am trying to zip a folder and lock it with password.

I have tried to follow the guide as what i found in google, but there is some problem occur.

First, I right click on folder -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder

next, right click on the zipped folder -> explore -> add a password.

After key in password, it going through all the files, then half way it pop out error saying that "cannot create output file".

Then i checked on the zipped folder, and realized that some of the file already consists of the password that i key in, some files are not.

any idea what happen?

Reason is because there are many intelligence kopitiamers here, although they like to troll and spam sometime.

ok back to the main topic. Actually, I wanted to ask you guys.. how to calculate sales margin?

Initially i used below equation (A) to calculate sales margin,

sales margin(%) = (Selling price - Cost price)/ Selling price

Then one of my friend say i counted wrongly, and i am suppose to use this equation (B) below,

sales margin(%) = (Selling price - Cost price)/ Cost price

Then we discussed and still cant find out which one should be the right one.
I tried to search online, but the definition is not clear.

So guys, what do you all think? which would be the correct equation to calculate the sales margin?
equation (A) or (B)? why?

Really hope you guys can share your thoughts with me. really appreciate it.
