Greetings all, went into my office today where I have just had internet installed and ran this from the router

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps):	512
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps):	2048
SNR Margin - Upstream (0.1 dB):	300
SNR Margin - Downstream (0.1 dB):	303
Attenuation - Upstream (0.1 dB):	20
Attenuation - Downstream (0.1 dB):	185

I did read the following post
Explaination

But am still a little confused as the downstream seems crazy high etc.

Any advice and stuff would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Digi 3G Network problem?

Greetings all,

I have been using the DiGi Prepaid broadband USB modem for the last 6 months and have had no issues with it up until the last week, where most websites will load, but more often than not it requires me to click on the same site button over and over and over again till it loads.

I have tried to use googles DNS servers (which are extremely slow) and open dns servers as well. Which allow me to access the website, but this is NOT ideal. It was fine up until a week again and then started.

Is anyone else having problems with DiGi 3g network? the other problem lies with how the hell do I make a complaint to them, i call them they say please refer to the website, I look on the website can NOT find anywhere where I can lodge a complaint or raise a ticket in order for them to have a look at this and try to fix whatever the problem may be.

I have tried multiple computers, and many different browsers.

Mac OSX: Firefox, Chrome,Safari
PC: Firefox, Chrome, IE

Its the same problems on both computers, and all 6 browsers.

I have reset my cache in all, and on both computer and yet the problems with websites still exists. I ask friends around the world if they have problems and they don't. Which leads me to believe it is a DiGi problem,

so if anyone can help me with this, or further more show me how I can rise this complaint with digi directly, as I have already emailed their customer service and have had no response.

Kind regards,

Anitelu

Hey all,

Well looks like I will open my wallet after spending bout 4hrs walking around a few malls here in Penang today for the new Illegear R-11, but what I still can't decide on as im not as tech savvy as you guys I thought I would put it out to you.

SSD vs HDD, what I imagine Ill be installing on my computer;

Win 7 Prem
+Adobe Primere Pro + photoshop + illustrator + dreamweaver (Im a film editor/website guy i guess)

+External Storage for my data, and game saves and actually have the application part on the SDD/HDD pending whats said here.

Games I'll be playing are not the latest and greatest like COD and BF3 not really my cup of tea, but I want a good laptop thats going to last me, and looking around at the options the illegear r-11 is for me.

Now its just SSD vs HDD to decide on based on what u guys say And also I think ive decided on the i7 for the more processes to help with my renders.

thanks once again, you guys are all awesome.

/Anitelu

Fixed Line Broadband options in Penang?

Hey all,

Currently trying to look into my options available to me in the fixed line department for aDSL broadband in Penang.

I live just opposite Batu Lanchang market in the new Central Park complex thats recently been finished, according to the land lord fibre hasn't been wired through out the building or to the complex anyway, so looking at different options.

After talking to several computer savvy people in Prangin Mall earlier today they all seemed to recommend Streamyx due to TM having all the rights for the broadband lines in the country, and if I went with TIME I would have to contact them, then they contact TM in order to get me to sign up.

Is anyone here able to help me answer this question, I am just looking for reliable and somewhat fast interest, currently using a 3G Digi prepaid plan stick, and it just doesn't allow any freedom at all with downloads, and the fact only one of us (my father or I) to be on the internet at the same time.

Or is someone a reseller or able to help me register for this as a Streamyx (or other option providers) in the area of Penang that I live in.

Thank you for reading this,

/Anitelut
