Lenovo Z500

my laptop is lenovo Z500
and the brightness of screen is suddenly turn to be the darkest just like the brightness level is lowest.
i cannot change the brightness even i adjust the brightness level using keyboard key or control panel there.
This is the 2nd time for this problem.
When the first time , i just send it back to the shop to ask for help.
they just format my laptop and said that this is normal problem for Z500. Is it true?
Have any solution that can prevent it happen again or change the brightness for now since i have the problem now.

my laptop is lenovo Z500
i dont know why when i enter dailymotion website my laptop will stop function.
the cursor all cannot click anymore.
this situation will long for few weeks then it will be ok. but after few weeks this problem happens again.
anybody knows how to fix it?

i just finished my SPM in 2012
so now i just confused with my future
i would like to take chemical engineering in Taylor
but now i not sure with A level then degree or foundation to degree
can someone give opinion?
somebody can tell me the fee of living in Taylor lakeside?
